Thanks for reaching out!
Could you please share your website’s URL along with some more details and a screenshot or a screen recording of the issue so I can start my investigation?
You may use a tool like Snipboard (https://snipboard.io/) or Loom (https://www.loom.com/screen-recorder) to create & share the screenshots/screen recordings.
Additionally, by “redirection”, are you referring to our “Redirect Attachment URLs” option or the premium “Redirection Manager” addon?
I’m looking forward to helping you.
Thanks!
Hey @annymarketing,
Since you’ve also posted this question through our website where I’ve already replied, we’ll continue the conversation there.
I’m really looking forward to helping you.
Thanks!
Hi @annymarketing,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can still set post types/taxonomies to Noindex by default and change them on individual post/page level. Here’s a guide with more details –
https://aioseo.com/docs/showing-or-hiding-your-content-in-search-results/
However, Category SEO is part of our premium version. You can easily manage the default settings for Categories in our Free version but managing the SEO/noindex settings for individual Categories is part of our premium offerings.
If you want to know more about this, please feel free to reach out to us using the Basic Contact Form on our website here –
https://aioseo.com/contact/#form-container-group
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Hey @yankyaw09,
Thanks for reaching out, and I deeply apologize for the issue you’re facing.
I see that you already created another thread for the same issue. I’ve already replied there so I’m closing this one –
Thanks!
Hi @yankyaw09,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m really sorry about the issue you’re facing with our plugin. I’ll do my best to get this sorted at the earliest.
Could you edit any post and scroll down to the AIOSEO section, then share a screenshot of the Post Title and Meta Description fields under the AIOSEO settings?
Also, see if the correct value is shown in the Post Title field. If yes, please update the post and check the Post List screen to see if the same reflects there.
Additionally, please follow the steps below to export the AIOSEO settings and send it to us so I can take a closer look –
- Go to All in One SEO > Tools > Import/Export tab
- Select Export All Settings and Posts under the Export Settings section and click the Export Settings button. Screenshot – https://a.supportally.com/i/SAqo8r
- The settings file would be downloaded to your computer, send it to [email protected] so I can take a look at your settings.
Regarding your second question, could you confirm if you’ve also noticed any data loss or if there were any changes made to your website’s database?
I’m really looking forward to helping you.
Thanks!
Hi?@pao2,
We haven’t heard back from you in a couple of days. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks!
Hi @pao2,
Thanks for reaching out, and I apologize for the issue that you’re facing.
It’s important to note that Author Archives and Author Name are two completely different things and don’t depend on each other. Author archives are usually noindexed since they have thin content and thus, they aren’t helpful from an SEO perspective.
On the other hand, author name (and URL) is a recommended property by Google for the Article schema, and thus we add it. You can take a look at this documentation from Google for a quick reference –
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/article#article-types
However, another thing to note here is that we don’t specifically use the username in the article schema, instead we use the value from the Display name publicly as field in the edit user settings. Screenshot –
https://a.supportally.com/i/6f37Br
If you’ve set the Display name publicly as field same as your username, then the same value would appear in the schema. In this case, you can simply update the above field to automatically update the schema.
However, if you want to remove the author from the schema entirely, please share the URL of a post on your website and I’d be happy to share a filter that you can use to achieve this.
Again, I want to assure you that we add the author’s name in the schema only because it’s a recommended property by Google which provides more context into the content.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
I’m really looking forward to helping you.
Thanks!
