Hi @rafyc747,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Just to be sure, you want to allow unlocking content created by page builders without page refresh, right?
Do your pages contain shortcodes and/or animation effects, by the way?
You might also want to drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.
Just an update, the issue was resolved with the user via email.
We’ve also released our PPWP Lite 1.8.4 version, which allows customizing error messages when entering wrong passwords for Section Protection.
Please update your plugin accordingly to try out the function.
Cheers,
Hi @rafyc747,
Thanks for reaching out to us last night.
Just to clarify, do you want to entirely remove that sentence or just replace it with your custom one?
Have you tried to customize your password forms under WordPress Customizer yet?
As for cookie expiration time, could you please send us a sample protected page URL and its password to take a look at?
You might also want to send these details to our support email – hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.

Hi @kyosuketanaka,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
At first glance, it could be something to do with your setup configurations.
Error messages for wrong passwords can be changed on our end without any problems.
To assist you better, could you please provide us with the following information?
- A screenshot of your customized your error messages in the backend
- A sample protected page, and a password for us to double-check

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Show password without ****Hi @snakedevil88000,
Thanks for reaching out to us tonight.
If I understand correctly, you want to display passwords that users enter by default. Am I right?
You can do that by simply adding the following code snippet to your (child) theme’s functions.php file.
add_filter( 'ppwp_customize_password_form', function( $content ) { return str_replace( 'type="password"', 'type="text"', $content ); });
Please refer to our documentation here for more information:
https://passwordprotectwp.com/docs/rest-api/#show-passwordHope it helps.
Just an update, this support request was resolved with the user via email.
As a reference to other users, here are our detailed documentation regarding:
- Protect whole pages: https://passwordprotectwp.com/docs/password-protect-wordpress-lite/#multiple-passwords
- Protect content sections: https://passwordprotectwp.com/docs/section-protection/
Hope it helps.
Hi @klausminning,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Just to clarify, on/off shortcode attributes allow you to schedule password protection.
Let’s say you’re using the following shortcode to protect your content:
[ppwp passwords="password1 password2" on=2022/06/23 14:00:00 off=2022/06/23 16:00:00] Your protected content [/ppwp]
Your protected content will be automatically unlocked from 2 PM to 4 PM on Jun 23, 2022.
Beyond that time frame, users need to enter passwords to access your premium content.
Does it make sense to you, @klausminning?
To assist you better, do you mind sharing with us what you want to achieve with our plugins, e.g. your use case, in more detail?
If possible, please send over your page URL.
This one is your backend page URL and we can’t access it: https://sv-blatzheim.de/wp-admin/revision.php?revision=2249
