As a reference for other users, once PPWP Free is activated,
- the default WordPress password protection feature under Pages & Posts will be hidden to avoid potential conflicts.
- we will migrate passwords that you’ve set to protect your content to our Free version.
Please refer to our documentation here for more information:

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] ppwp-woocommerce-1.3.0 problemJust an update, the issue was resolved with the customer via email.
As a reference for other users, by default, only when the order status is “completed” will customers receive the passwords/access links to access the protected content.
If you want to send passwords when orders are under processing, simply use the code snippet in this documentation:
https://passwordprotectwp.com/docs/display-purchased-passwords-custom-order-status/Hope it helps.

Hi David,
Thanks for the detailed information. It’s pretty clear now.
Just to confirm,
- Is “the site” you mentioned referring to “the single landing page” or,
- The landing page is just one of the pages on your WordPress site?
It would be best if you could send us your site/landing page URL to take a look at.
You might also want to drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster, @neovisionac.
Hi David,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Yes, it looks very possible with our plugins.
We provide you with functions to:
- Protect multiple sections on the same page with the same passwords.
- Show a single password form instead of displaying all forms.
To assist you better, do you mind sharing with us more about your use case?
- Will family & business partners use different passwords to unlock different groups of protected sections on your page?
- How do you want the password forms to disappear?
If possible, please send us a sample landing page URL to take a look at.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Site map and robots txtHi @bojan025,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Just to clarify, robots.txt and sitemap_index.xml (generated by Yoast plugin) are files, not content. That’s possibly why you can’t protect them with our PPWP Lite plugin – a content protection plugin.
To assist you better, may we know if you want to:
- Password-protect those files and allow users to enter passwords to view them, or
- Make those files completely private?

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Password set by ACF fieldHi @saitori,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Yes, it looks possible with our plugins.
Just to confirm, can your users set passwords only or also protect their own posts from the front end?
Please also provide us with the following information:
- A sample page URL where your users can create posts
- A screenshot/screencast showing your full Edit page in the backend
You might want to send these details to our support email – hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.
Just an update, the issue isn’t related to our plugin but to the user’s iPhone settings.
If you’re saving passwords in iCloud Keychain, please help to turn off the “AutoFill Passwords” option.
Hope it helps.

Hi @grantmahy,
Thanks for reaching out to us last night.
If so, you can use session cookies instead.
Just add ?ppws=1 to your page URLs, and your users will be logged out right after closing their browsers.
Alternatively, you can upgrade to our PPWP Pro version to implement session cookies automatically using a code snippet.
Let us know if it makes sense to you.
