In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Cache not workingHi @ubkma,
Thank you for reaching out to us last night.
Just to confirm, you want to cache all protected pages under sitewide protection, don’t you?
May we know why you’d like to cache all protected pages?
I think you shouldn’t cache a protected site in the first place as it will override all benefits that the caching plugin provides.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] page not found errorHi @ncipriani,
Thank you for letting us know.
We actually include the callback in the URL for hosting servers whose referrer-policy is set to “no-referrer”. The callback URL will help us redirect users back to the correct page if there is no referrer found.
There seem to be some conflicts with certain themes/plugins.
Can you please update our plugin to the latest version and let us know if it works?

In reply to: [Prevent Direct Access - Protect WordPress Files] Simple and UsefulHi @pradeepphule,
First of all, thank you for your feedback.
May we know which documentation you’re looking for but cannot find so that we can improve them accordingly?
You can actually protect files, block search indexing as well as creating private download links with our Free version. That’s the core of our plugin. And they’re all available on our Free version.
What else do you think we should include in our Free version?
Please let us know, @pradeepphule.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Issues with Divi BuilderHi @chumsicle,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
As far as we can test, there are no known issues with PPWP and the Divi theme/page builder.
I think you misunderstand our feature. The theme customizer provided by our PPWP Lite version is for the individual and not the sitewide password form.
You’re able to customize the sitewide password form since our Pro version 1.2.0.1.
Hope it makes sense to you.
Elena
The issue is resolved with the user via email.
As a reference for other users, this is how to display featured image & excerpt for password protected content.
Hi @michael-divine,
Thanks for the feedback. Our team will definitely take your feedback into account when developing our plugin.
Anyway, I feel like it’s a bit harsh and really unfair for our team as well as the plugin development in the future.
The fact that a Free plugin doesn’t offer a specific feature doesn’t mean it’s “garbage”. Don’t you agree?
In fact, if you can show us any available password protection plugins which offer more Free features (values) like us, we will gladly accept your harsh words.
Password protecting categories is an advanced not basic feature…
Can you please re-consider your review, please Michael?
Elena.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] The Password Doesn’t WorkHi @mattrixk
In order for our shortcode to work on ACF and WordPress custom fields, we will need to extend our codebase, together with providing extra support as users will need to modify the custom field template too.
It’s much more complicated than the default WordPress content field.
That’s why the feature is not supported on our Free version. Hope you understand our point of view.
Anyway, please drop us an email to hello(@)preventdirectaccess.com. Our team would be able to give you a discount for our Pro version.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Password formWe’re so glad to hear that, @kristelc.
To fix that, can you please:
- update our pot file, i.e. download & replace the existing one
- Click “sync” for Loco Translate to update our plugin’s correct strings
- Translate “Show password” text again
Please let us know if it works.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] The Password Doesn’t WorkHi @mattrixk,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Your content is within an ACF WYSIWYG field, not the default WP content field. That’s why our shortcode doesn’t work.
We only support protecting partial content on ACF WYSIWYG field on our Pro version.
Please refer to that tutorial for more information. Let us know if it makes sense to you, @mattrixk.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Password formHi @kristelc,
As recommended by Polylang themselves, you will need to use either Poedit or Loco Translate to translate any plugin text including our Password Protect WordPress (PPWP) plugin.
We have put up a guide on how to translate PPWP password form with Polylang.
Please let us know if it works.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Cache issue + W3T cache setupHi @tdechangy,
Thanks for reaching out to us last night.
Actually, the latest Free version of our Password Protect WordPress (PPWP) works nicely with W3 Total Cache without any extra cookies configurations.
Our team has just done another test and it works correctly on our side.
It could be a cache issue on yours.
Can you please drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com with some sample URLs so that we can take a look and troubleshoot the issue quickly for you?
