unchecking the “include events in main blog loop” option under Events > Settings > General resolved the issue for me after many V6.x crashes and reversions.

Using Gravity forms and occasionally Post SMTP sends the mail twice, same timestamp, could be a delay at the O365 connection, but no errors, I have updated to 2.0.26.

I will update if the issue continues or if I can find out more.

If you resend the mail from the Gravity forms entry it will be in the correct format.

Adding to header.php (in my child theme) just before the closing </head> tag

I tested in test site and it worked perfectly. I uninstalled and installed new and did the connections etc. from scratch.

On the live sites how do I update and not have to do all the connections again?

Just overwrite the plugin folder?

Try this:

Activate the plugin, send a test mail and view it in the email log.

Find the sent mail offsite (might be in junk) and get the server and port info from that to use in the setup wizard.

I unistalled and re-installed and it works fine.
