In reply to: [Taskbuilder - WordPress Project & Task Management plugin] Cloning tasksThank you ??
Hello David,
just tested the development version – works like a charm!
Thank you so much! This is exactly what we need ??
Hello David,
thank you for your ongoing effort!!! …and sorry for not replying earlier.
I am definitely interested in the cloning plugin. This would still be highly appreciated by my co-workers and me. Just let me know when there is something to test ??
Best regards from Austria
Short description: Cloning Att. Categories and Att. Tags is all I am actually asking for.
Long description – this is our use case: We are a swimming pool producer and sell our products B2B and B2C online and offline. WordPress is used as an intranet media server. We store wholesale order documents, complaints and images from our b2c pool projects for easier company-wide access.
Att. Categories and Att. Tags are used to store Client name, client order number, our order number, delivery note number, invoice number, production plan number etc… The problem is that there might be weeks between uploads for the same case. Meanwhile, there are constant uploads for other cases.
Lets have a look at the usual way of an complaint:
When we are getting an email from our client, there are some images attached most of the time. Usually they don’t show the problem very well so we have to ask for more specific images before we can figure out what the actual problem is. This process takes days, or more often, weeks.
What we do now when we get those “update” images is to search for the initial image(s) and copy/paste Att. Categories and Att. Tags. This should make the files searchable.
The problem with follow-up files is: Some co-workers are copypasting, but some are just entering the meta-info “from scratch” based on the latest email they got where there is not all information available which might have been already researched for previous uploads.
I’d simply like to tell my co-workers to search for previous uploads, pre-populate att. category+tags to upload page and upload additional files. Done!
Hello David,
thank you so much for your ongoing effort. Your enhancement looks good, however I could not test a multi-user scenario as I am out of office until mid-January.
May I ask for some further improvement? Could you provide the same functionality from an already existing media file? That would be the perfect solution to my daily workflow.
Thanks ??
Hi @jasonkytros
We would definitely use this mini-extension if the variation price would update automatically.
Our bundles are quite complex. Manual price updates is not an option unfortunately.
Thanks ??
I am not sure….so I try to rephrase my question:
when I click on “Summer”, will the content of “Swimming” and “Football” be visible too in the image grid?
Thanks ??
