    Hi Chrytsl,

I do not see a possibility to include media files here – could you provide a mailadress I can send you the requested files to?

    Thanks!

    Hi Chrystl,

thanks for your reply. The media module is deactivated. And it always was deactivated. When I activate it testwise I realise that pictures that were added before the first use of polylang are flagged with my first language German. All the other pictures do not have a language assigned to them. The later ones are not shown after the latest update, even if I assign a language to them (with the media modula activated). But as mentioned before: the media module was and is always deactivated!

    I am using Polylang v. 3.1.3.

    Hi Chrystl,

thanks for your reply. I am repeating myself: in the polylang’s settings tab the transaltion of media is disabled. And it always was! Apparently Polylang tagged all images that were here before Polylang’s installation as my first language anyway. So far they have been shown on english sites (2nd language) without any problem. Since some weeks or so there are NO pictures shown on the 2nd language sites AND all pictures added to the wordpress media library after Polylang’s installation are not shown anymore on the first language site. AGAIN: the media translation was and is switched off. So apparently it is a bug in Polylang, showing pictures according to the language tag ALTHOUGH the translation of media is switched of!

Hi Pixel – so it is already two ??

I am using WPBakery as well, so maybe it is an interrelated thing?

    Hi Chrystl,

thanks for your prompt reply! I had a thourough search before posting this issue and ran in to many recommendations about deactivating the media translation, so it is deactivates. The media library shows no reference to Polylang. Still I played around a bit and activated the media setting in the polyplang settings tab. Afterwards I realized, that all the pictures that worked had a German flag activated, all that did not work had no language assigned. Also in the english version of the site ALL pictures disappear while Polylang is activated. They all return, after deactivating the plugin. So it seems to be related to the media settings of polylang, deactivation does not seem to work here. Any ideas?
