Oh I fixed it by choosing “left side bar” for all the options that said “no sidebars”!

In the Customise>Content>Front Page Set up the front page layout I have “no sidebars full width”

In the Customise>Content>Pages & Posts Layout Setup layout options I have “Global default: no sidebars” and posts default layout “left sidebar” and pages default layout “no sidebars”

Thank you for your advice. Yes I did want them to have separate links – one is the logo of a separate training agency and the other is our business logo.
