I have used XAMPP in the past and it is very good. although it quite some time ago.

I found a similar topic where the solution suggested is to reinstall all and keep passwords, ports and folders as per instructions and it works.

Probably I will soon have to as about how to change passwords or ports without knocking down the sole install but for the moment it works.
