In reply to: [Backup Migration] No Progress or Live Log – but backup is createdSorry, but 1.0.9.15 did not really solve the log issue.
Progress bar now goes to 1% (stayed at 0 before, if I remember correctly), but it stays at 1% with the message ?Step: Preparing backup process …? underneath.
There is no live log visible and no indication that the backup actually is finished.
At some stage I minimize the window (which then disappears altogether) and there is a new backup listed on ?Manage & Restore Backup(s)?.

In reply to: [Backup Migration] No Progress or Live Log – but backup is createdYep, WordPress is on http (DF doesn’t do Let’s Encrypt and only offers one free SSL certificate …).

In reply to: [Backup Migration] Backup could not run on your server … (see log file)The first option worked fine:
1. Checked “Bypass web server timeout directive – backup process may be slower”
2. SAVED the option
3. Made backupAfter that I checked again, and without this option the backup failed like described above. So this option definitely makes the difference.
Webhosting is from Domainfactory > Managed Hosting Medium, if that is of any interest.
Thanx a million.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Sorry@alfrapper Thanx for correcting your review.
I used to work with Elementor (Pro) and liked the interface, but for new sites I am now on the WordPress block editor, plus GenerateBlocks for layouts and some other specialized blocks if necessary.
If you’re working with GeneratePress, you might wanna give GenerateBlocks a try.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryMmmh.
@alfrapper I run several sites based on GeneratePress, and none of them has any problems passing search dot Google dot com slash test slash mobile-friendly.
I sometimes get errors like “Content wider than screen”, “Clickable elements too close together” or “Text too small to read” from the Google Search Console, but after having checked them several times and not finding anything to improve I now ignore just ignore them. Until now they are always resolved without taking any action. Seems more like a false alarm from Google …
Btw, Autoptimize is a plugin that bundles stylesheets and other resources to reduce the number of http-requests and is an accelerator for probably almost every theme.
I am using Twentig with a Twenty Twenty child theme, and it seems to work.
In fact, I hadn’t even thought about it until I read you post ??

In reply to: [LuckyWP Table of Contents] Smooth Scroll – issueI too can confirm that following the steps @edge22 mentioned above work:
1. Go to Plugins > Plugin Editor
2. Choose “GP Premium” from the plugin list at the top right
3. In the list on the right, choose: general > js > smooth-scroll.min.js
4. Replace contents of file (copy/paste) with this: https://pastebin.com/USymFcuZ—
I followed those steps, copied RAW from Pastebin and now it works. For example:
https://groningen-info.de/forum-groningen/I had to hard reload the page (press Shift + Reload in Chrome) to make it work.
Thanx a lot to @theluckywp and @edge22 for working together to solve this!

In reply to: [LuckyWP Table of Contents] Table of Content not centered in Twenty TwentyRemoved the fix vom style.css and the Table of Content is still centered in the frontend.
So it seems to work.
Thanx a lot!

In reply to: [LuckyWP Table of Contents] Table of Content not centered in Twenty TwentyYes. I put the above mentioned fix in the child theme’s style.css.

In reply to: [Astra] Remove … (3 dots) above “Read more” link?Hi @rox32,
as mentioned above I just got used to the three dots as I did not want to create a child theme or install a plugin just for that.
Therefore I had never tried the filter posted by @brainstormteam, but I have just copied it and added it to the functions.php of the theme itself, and indeed there is no change.
If you REALLY want to get rid of those dots, you’ll probably have to create a child theme and then edit the file
inc/blog/blog-config.php
as described above (see post). And that’s a lot of work for three dots. So I just got used to them.
Thanx for the fix!

In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] Perfect: Gravatar AND privacyThank YOU for the plugin!
On my comment form there is a checkbox right underneath yours and it does not have padding but a space inbetween. That’s why I added a space ??
I think the line break in the HTML is converted to a space as
label
andinput
are inline orinline-block
:<p class="wpgdprc-checkbox"> <label> <input type="checkbox" name="wpgdprc" id="wpgdprc" value="1"> Diese Website darf diese Daten speichern und verarbeiten. <abbr class="wpgdprc-required" title="Sie müssen dieses Kontrollk?stchen akzeptieren.">*</abbr> </label> </p>
