Yes, Justin, thanks. The renaming resolved the issue at least temporarily. Or last renaming lasted from April 7th through the 22nd. Maybe we (someone who is not me) can figure out how to apply your more permanent fix.

I have disabled WPEC, which allows the site to be available. BUT I have no backup mode of conducting transactions, so I’m unable to sell any tickets. Not good.

Unlike Paul, I don’t have a prayer of understanding the original issue; I would just be extremely grateful if WPEC would function for me.

I’m sorry to say that after several days of clear sailing, the problem has come back for us too! Each time I clear the cache today, it seems to resolve, but then returns again.

Jeff, is there any way that an ordinary mortal can do this? I am very eager to get WPeC back up and running on my site. Not sure whether I should just be patient and expect that a new version will be released with these bugs eradicated, or is there something I can do myself (with some coaching)? I realize that you just outlined what to do above, but I don’t even know where to look to find this stuff….

Like squbrossi, I used the site check-up plug-in and got some similar results, plus an ominous warning at the top. Also like squbrossi, I have no comprehension of these results:

Yes, I did. (And, let me tell you that it took a little nerve because I am not that kind of person. Just a WP user who needs the darn thing to work, not someone who wants to look under the hood.)

It was after I had tried the code change (and pretty much everything else in this thread) to no avail that I threw in the towel and pulled the plug on the plugin. But I still do need to get it to work, or our little non-profit is dead in the water.

Actually, no. It only seems to be fixed for a few minutes. I deactivated the WPeC plug-in and that allows the remainder of the site to be seen, at least. But it would be nice to sell some tickets…

I am having exactly the same problem as Paul (and had it 2 months ago for a while). I have tried everything suggested above, plus some voodoo, and maybe have it under control, although I’m not sure exactly which thing may have cured it. But I would appreciate learning as much as possible as to how to keep from having this issue crop up again. Seems to come up out of the blue, and is a frustrating time-suck.
