We uploaded a new release of the PlusCaptcha plugin, which resolves a number of problems. It also includes a feature for SSL support, a major point of contention for some webmasters. This should resolve your reported problem.

Please check back in 72 hours’ time. Version 2.5.0 of the plugin will be available, and has been tested with WP 4.9.4.

So, when you know what functions found in your server thats allows you start to view what is the problem. Sometimes happens (in my experience since I’m captcha provider) in the hosting manage team view multiply outside and inside connections and without any research block with the firewall the connections. Thats literally “kills” the captcha system.

So to solve it do you need to test the external connections or too try to ask with your hosting support if they have change something rule on your server / firewall.

I try to looks inside of your website register panel and the captcha looks ok, but I don’t try register an account.

I recommend two things:

1. Notify to BuddyPress Plugin author. And / or read BuddyPress documentation because looks like an setup problem or server side problem.
Yesterday I had the same problem with my captcha plugin and was a setup problem in user side.
2. Try to uninstall and install the plugin again with the last version.

Try “Deactivate” Lightbox Plus ColorBox 5′ minutes to review if the lightbox of your theme found. If not, just Activate it again and try with other Plugin.

I try to find your theme (Vanguard) and I can’t with WP Search. So without something to test it’s impossible to help you!

1st. Disallow the contact form, if something doesn’t found just leave it by this moment.
2nd. If you understand basics things of PHP language, try to send and e-mail with mail() function. This function uses the <<server SMTP>> default configuration. If the function doen’t found, thats able to think about a “wrong setup op SMTP server configuration”.

Note: I’m not sure about if Contact Form 7 uses only mail() function, but without an SMTP vars configuration, that lets me think about it.

Looks like an external conection problem. Try with a simple test with fget() or file_get_contents() function and this help to you looks if your hosting is able to outside conections.

Our plugins use outside conections too (more speficly “fopen()”), try setup it and your account will be generated automatically. If works, your hosting it’s ok, but your config of reCAPTCHA plugin is wrong.

Sometimes happend in blogs with big plugins or themes installed wich crashes with the Contact Form 7 plugin. I see the same problem in this forum like 10 minutes ago. Do you have updated your WP?

Deleting the folder it just will made more difficult the recovery to you.

An intelligent step will be restore the “options” of WP Table in WP Database. Don’t forget backup DB before.
