We want to emphasize that all customers, including lifetime license holders, continue to receive updates and bug fixes for the core plugin at no extra cost. However, as part of this policy change, the support plan is now optional and primarily intended for those seeking one-on-one help, troubleshooting, or customization advice beyond the scope of automatic updates.
We’re truly sorry if our response times were slower than expected in your case. We will review your specific situation to see what improvements can be made to avoid this happening again. We understand that this transition may be frustrating for some of our early adopters who purchased lifetime licenses. However, we want to be transparent about the reasons behind this decision, which we made three years ago.
Our commitment to continuous innovation and providing top-tier support requires significant investment in resources. The previous model, while initially beneficial, was not sustainable in the long run due to the unforeseen scale of usage and, unfortunately, in some cases, misuse of lifetime licenses.
Additionally, the WordPress plugin industry has largely shifted away from lifetime licenses as a standard practice. We were receiving an overwhelming volume of support requests, making it impossible to maintain the high level of service our customers expect within reasonable timeframes.
To ensure the ongoing development and improvement of Booster for WooCommerce, and to align with industry standards, we had to make this difficult decision in 2021 to adopt a more sustainable licensing model.
We want to assure you that we value your early support immensely. As such, we are fully honoring the terms of the lifetime licenses purchased. This means you will continue to receive all updates and support that were available at the time of your purchase in 2021.

We’re constantly working on improving the UI/UX and documentation, and we’re excited to announce that we will be releasing a major update within a month, which includes a re-imagined UI/UX from the ground up.
Regarding your concern about new features not being included in your updates, please note that lifetime license owners are entitled to receive all updates that were available at the time of their purchase. However, any new features released after that time are part of our new Elite license.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the bugs you reported, and our support team has received your report and will work to resolve it as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
