I had something similar yesterday and it was an active plugin.
I had to go to database and remove it as I could not access site at all.

what do you have that is trying to redirect to hillerbrandmagsamen dot com?

Yes it is working now,
I am not sure if someone tried updating the BackWPup plugin or it just failed?

I went into the database, removed part of a line about active plugins, then the site just all went blank, I put the line back in and then everything worked?

Dunno but am happy it is back.

hmmm, neither option brought back the items in dashboard menu

To be sure we are on same page, I have some items on dashboard page like
Right Now
Quick Press
Recent comments etc

but in the Dashboard menu in left side under dashboard I only have
Dashboard
Updates.

There used to be much more IIRC or am I remembering something much different?

try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Not sure what you mean there and how to do it, but I suspect it was a bad plugin at some time, can you elaborate on how to do this?

BTW, I just backed up my site, deleted EVERYthing but wp-config and the wp-content folder and reup’d it all with no change.
Must have something to do with a plugin and the db

I even reup’d \wp-admin\index.php

Hmmm, but what was the solution?
I have Home link in my nav bar twice

must not have export db correctly as what you are trying to import is NOT a db but a webpage itself.

Doing a search for this particular issue returns results, others have had the issue but the solution does not seem to be posted here or at least I could not find it.

The issue was with PHP Magic quotes being turned on.

My solution so far is that I added

php_value magic_quotes_gpc 0

to my .htaccess file

Those having this issue and do not have an .htaccess file
open notepad and paste

#.htaccess
php_value magic_quotes_gpc 0

save as .htaccess.txt
upload to your WP folder and rename .htaccess (no extension)

goto plugin in admin and search for automotive
I saw a plugin there for inventory etc for a dealership

I made new thread in installation as I found it is an install issue it seems.
No need to close that one as it is the better Section.

I removed the phpinfo as I have found the issue, beleieve I have it corrected just have to verify the correct will not cause other issues first.
