Unfortunately I don’t have access to the server…
So, I talked with WP Engine Support and they said: “Those [grep] commands do not work here on the server, there is no output.” ??
They cache the site at the server level with Varnish cache. I cleared it with no success.
They told me, “Yeah they may need to create some sort of NGINX server rule for that [https issue] with the plugin then.”
Thank you so much for your follow-up on this issue.
I even changed the theme temporarily to Twenty Twenty-Three and the https was still in that line.
I don’t see any php file with podcast in the name of my theme. I tried deactivating every plugin with no success.

Thank you, Sergiy!
I see what you’re saying. I don’t know what’s causing the https in that URL. I didn’t modify any feed template beyond what the main options allow in the plugin…
I do have other plugins of course but I’m not sure which might be causing this problem. I just inherited managing this site.
I’ll keep searching but I don’t know what next to do.

In reply to: Can’t Edit Post Status, Visibility, or Publish DateAny help? Do I need to totally reinstall WP?

In reply to: Can’t Edit Post Status, Visibility, or Publish DateI tried these things with no success.
In addition to the post issues, when I attempt to delete a plugin it sends me to a Page Not Found (for example: https://www.kmbcwi.org/wordpress/wp-admin/plugins.php?action=delete-selected&checked%5B0%5D=better-wp-security%2Fbetter-wp-security.php&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s&_wpnonce=3eeb101780 for example). Deactivating and installing and activating plugins works.

In reply to: First Post Title HackedIn my case this was “Hacked by MrHax” and there was a text widget with malicious code that redirected visitors. Once I deleted the widget code the site looks fine but now I’m struggling with being able to edit posts and delete plugins.

In reply to: Need help fixing my site, says “hacked by mrhax”Thank you, T-P. I’m sorry for not adhering to the rules.
But I did fix my problem with MrHax. I found this code in a widget:
I deleted that widget and voila, no more Hacked By MrHax.
[ Hack code redacted, please do not post Hack code. Thanks]

In reply to: Need help fixing my site, says “hacked by mrhax”I’m having the same issue with two of my sites that use the 2017 WP theme…
Sorry. I meant to say “0audio/mpeg” above. I got it switched around.
I have this issue as well on kmbcwi.org.
Where I notice this is a problem is not with new posts that I create but with old posts that the plugin converted to podcasts.
The fix is just to go into each of my few hundred posts and delete the “0mpeg/audio” from the end of each audio file link, but it would be nice to be able to do this more quickly.
I even tried one of those search/replace WP plugins to find “0mpeg/audio” but it couldn’t find it.

Paul,
How and where did you see that it was crashed?
