Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: YARPP appearing twiceWe had the same problem on a similar plugin, your theme is triggering the_content twice. It could also be another plugin triggering the code. You may need to add a singleton to the code.
To debug just turn off each of your plugins until you narrow things down. May also be good to default the theme to standard.
Some themes and plugins use the_content incorrectly.

In reply to: Help, new to Wp & bloggingQuick answers you may not like:
1. Go to appearance->widgets, drag pages to side bar. To remove from top you will have to get a different theme maybe or see if the current one lets you?
2. You have to edit your theme.
3. Go to appearance->widgets, drag text widget over and paste HTML code for ads into them.
4. You dont need a google search bar, appearance-widgets drag the search widget over to the side bar.
Try a different theme like Titan. IT has built in ads and things like that.

Its not random though, it actually picks links base on similar content but I guess thats better than random. As far as thumbnails there may be a way you could modify the plugin…

Seriously top ten lists are the way to go when you start.
