In reply to: [Google's No Captcha reCaptcha] Does it work with Contact Form 7?I thought it was just me. After that wonderful response, I am just waiting for an update to “Better WordPress reCAPTCHA (support Akismet and Contact Form 7)”.

In reply to: [Vantage] XML Sitemap error 404I came across this error a few days ago and found the same solution on Yoast’s web page after doing a Google search:

In reply to: Plugin version numbersWell at least I see how to get the date now.
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Plugin version numbersThanks…..Ah, hover over it with the mouse. That also matches the date on the top of the page when you click on the “Age”; not sure how the time correlates between the two, but I don’t need that kind of accuracy anyway.

In reply to: Plugin version numbers“Yeah, I agree that it’s better than nothing. You may have better chance if you go to “Developers > Browse the code > Browse in Trac” and open the “tags” folder. Those are the official releases with dates. “
OK, but where are the dates? Use the same method as I specified above?

In reply to: Plugin version numbers“Shouldn’t you take this up with the plugin authors causing the issue?”
I would think it should be build in somewhere so it is forced and consistent. I am not blaming the developers. I don’t know enough about how the system works to know if it is possible or not. Sorry I brought it up…..didn’t mean to sound like I am ranting.

In reply to: Plugin version numbers@marco “Anyway if you go to “Developers > Browse the code > Development Log” you’ll find a list of the plugins SVN commits, including tagged releases with dates.”
So I have to dig through the items in the “Log Message” column for something that says “new version” or version update” or “updated to version” or “tag version” or whatever the developer decided to call it, or even in some cases what the developer decided to call it that day (because that isn’t even consistent within the same plugin in some cases), and then click in the “Age” column and use the date on the top of the page? Does that give the accurate final release date? Geez. Really doesn’t align with all the user friendliness of everything else in WordPress, but better than nothing I guess.
Never used captchas before…late to the party, but I came across an article yesterday announcing the new Google “No Captcha Recaptcha”. Since I have Contact Form 7 and my other anti-spam techniques are still letting some stuff leak through (especially companies selling SEO), this peaked my interest.
So, if indeed Better WordPress Recapthca is not compatible with “No Capthca Recaptcha”, I would also be very interested if this new feature was added and I would install the plugin.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] sitemap 404 errorsI figured I couldn’t be the only one!
I stand corrected, by myself that is. The pop-ups were from another plugin. My dashboard is so full of cr*P it was easy to make that mistake. Hey, the price you pay for free stuff, although the developers do get free testing and troubleshooting from users.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] sitemap 404 errorsCame across this during an Internet search:
https://kb.yoast.com/article/77-my-sitemap-index-is-giving-a-404-error-what-should-i-do
The following fixed the problem:
“Sometimes resetting the permalink structure will quickly solve a 404 error from a recent change to your installation. Go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and click save without altering anything.”
An Internet search brought up a fix:
“Sometimes resetting the permalink structure will quickly solve a 404 error from a recent change to your installation. Go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and click save without altering anything.”
