In reply to: Site's search results are spammed! BAD!I’m not coder or programmer or anything like that, just a WP user, and I googled your site and saw nothing wrong with the search results.

In reply to: WP 3.4 update seems to have messed up page tab headersUm, thanks for the fast response but… which plugin? It does it whether I use the social sharing buttons or just cut and paste the link without using any plugins at all, I just go to the website such as Digg or Stumbleupon and paste the web address. It does the same thing.

In reply to: Answer to a question on here causes website to crashYou’re rudeness at being caught giving a non-answer answer for the sake of gaining favor with the WP gurus is FAR more unforgivable than my calling you on it in the first place.
I’m closing down this thread. I put my warning out there and your ego is getting in the way of my attempt to actually help another person not go through what I went through.

In reply to: Answer to a question on here causes website to crashActually, if you go back and read your response, what you gave was along the lines of:
Now that you’ve totally screwed up your site, this is what you SHOULD have done.
Turns out the fix was simple. But the next person who tries to use that code might not be that lucky.

In reply to: Answer to a question on here causes website to crashUm… Duh!
Can we now take a look at the trees inside the forest?
The point: There is a response on this “self-help” site that causes websites to now crash and crash hard.
I already fixed what was wrong by going into my site’s file manager through my host. I just don’t think other people should be counting on that particular response to fix things within their site.

In reply to: Cerrtify Alexa processI put the certify code from Alexa into the header using the All-In-One Webmaster plugin and it came back I was only 87% certified, giving me a long list of sites that didn’t have it. It’s telling me I failed and won’t certify me.
Short of going to each page and adding this stupid code, what can I do?

In reply to: Sharexy – powerful social sharing, bookmarking and website monetization toolI look forward to hearing from you. This looks to be an excellent tool that I should be able to incorporate into my website extremely well, not just making the sharing portion more visually appealing but also with creating a revenue stream for my site.

In reply to: Sharexy – powerful social sharing, bookmarking and website monetization toolPlease see your support forum on your site where I posted an image of the error I receive.
I should note – I had the setting for it to show up at the end of each post.

In reply to: Sharexy – powerful social sharing, bookmarking and website monetization toolOkay, I installed it, activated it, deactivated my current social networking/share plugin, signed up at your site for a Publisher’s Key so I could earn while people surfed and…
It completely hosed my home page (on the slider) and inserted some random code showing errors at the top of each article/post.
I snipped the error as a PNG to share it with you but don’t now how to insert an image here. I’ll see if there is a point of contact on your site to forward it.

In reply to: Sharexy – powerful social sharing, bookmarking and website monetization toolNeglected to ask – I don’t see Pinterest in the screenshots. Is this a service that’s included?

In reply to: Sharexy – powerful social sharing, bookmarking and website monetization toolI’ll give it a try now and report back…
I don’t know how I missed that.
I went and did the settings, entered it into a widget for HTML/Javascript and – Bob’s your uncle – there is is.
Thanks for the help.

In reply to: Sharexy – powerful social sharing, bookmarking and website monetization toolOkay – deleted in a hurry.
It wouldn’t activate and it gave me this fatal error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /hermes/bosweb/web141/b1415/ipw.explorationtravelmag/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sharexy/sharexy.php on line 36

In reply to: Sharexy – powerful social sharing, bookmarking and website monetization toolIt definitely looks much more attractive than other widgets for this. I’m installing it now to see if it works. However, the deal breaker for me would be if Pinterest isn’t included.

In reply to: Can't get into website via CPanelI went to the link you provided for deactivating the plugins using both FTP and phpMyAdmin and couldn’t do it using either method.
The instructions for doing it via FTP were fairly straightforward and it didn’t work. The instructions using phpMyAdmin weren’t working for me.
I couldn’t find any table or any link that said wp_options.
This is really getting frustrating and I wish I knew enough to just change the theme. I contacted the owners of the theme but they are slow as molasses in getting back to people.
