right now 10 seconds is max refresh time, but that shouldn’t be an issue for your server. I’ll try to add longer refresh time with next update, but until then plz try to disable AC plugin and check is server is still overload or not.

unfortunately there is no such a function in current Author Chat version. Email notifications and private messages (plus chat rooms) are on to-do list in next updates.

You can also try new, Android app for Author Chat, it’s in early development stage and now you can only read chat conversation, more features with next updates!

Oh come on, plugin has no auto-activation, I was informed about payment at about 1AM my time, so I was sleep, In just couple of hours you opened case on PayPal, rated plugin to 1 star, really? ?? Your plugin is active now, I’m sorry but I’m not Microsoft or Apple corp to have 24/hour support, it’s just me, one developer who also need to sleep sometime. Sorry for 5 hours activation, but you are right, with next update I’ll give information about 24 hour time for activation. Also if you like to refund, just tell me, I’m not scamming anyone…

yes you can configure plugin and decide who should have access to Author Chat, but in very limited way – right now there is 5 options to choose: “All users with access to admin area”, “Editor”, “Author”, “Contributor”, “Subscriber”. If you uncheck all options only admin will get access to plugin. I’ll try to develop this functionality with next updates.

Sadly at this moment it’s not possible to make chat rooms or private chat.

Have you tried in different browser? It may help with old version, because you should be able to see scroll bar. Very weird ;( I’ll try to fix this bouncing problem with next update, thank you for hint!

sorry to hear that, I guess it’s because both of them using jQuery Dialog. Try to turn off chat window everywhere option. If nothing helps try to use older version of Author Chat.
