Thanks for the clarification. Apart from this issue, I was always happy with this plugin.
Thanks, this fixed it. I was planning to renew my licence as soon as I had new files to upload but surely not expecting that existing links would get jammed.
I don’t know what happened with my messages, but they were sent from the same account on which we had corresponded earlier on.
I always replied to [email protected], from which I had received the request. I did so on:
21/12/2022
4/1/2023
8/1/2023This is regrettably not true. I contacted the developer, who had insisted that this behaviour was due to an installation issue. However, after reinstalling the plugin, the problem remained: instead of the links I had created while the subscription was still active, there was for each link a message prompting to buy the Pro version. When I reported this to the developer, I was asked to share my admin details in order for them to check if there was anything wrong. I wrote several times giving my access details but never got any answer whatever. Therefore I must also add that the support is ultimately not existing.
Same thing with me. If I upload a picture to my event’s page the picture is displayed twice on the page, one in full scale; the other one in a reduced size, though not as a thumbnail. I disabled all my plugins, except MEC, cleared the cache, but the problem stays the same.
Same happened to me in Monterey. Works in Firefox, not in Safari.
Yes, thanks for your prompt support. As it turned out, the problem was I wasn’t allowing trackbacks and pingbacks in Firefox.
Kind regards,
Piero

Strangely enough, this problem seems to have been solved by the latest upgraded. The dummy text disappeared, wherever it was coming from and some neat features came out instead: date, time, more info and register.
Hello Jade,
thanks for your reply. In the meantime, with Henry Cee’s assistance I had solved the problem. In my case, the delete button was completely invisible, due to my theme’s (Twenty Seventeen), which made the delete bin appear in white on a white background.
This was a on example of unpredictable pitfalls…Same problem here! Just can’t see the purpose of “marynerissa”‘s reply to this topic.

In reply to: Unable to Access Admin DashboardI have the same problem here.

This comes up on Safari, both on iPad and Mac, as well as on Android with Google. No problems with Firefox or Chrome
The problem still persists after renaming the installed theme, as well as after switching to a new theme (Twenty-twenty)
Furthermore, I deactivated all my plugins and purged all caches, to no avail. There are occasionally a few additional error messages, on top of this one.

In reply to: How can I display a comment textbox after each post? Thanks again. Read More is working on Twenty Seventeen too. Only it took me some time to find the option because I was expecting to find it in the Block formatting menus, while it is in the Layout options.

In reply to: How can I display a comment textbox after each post?Further to my earlier posts and for better clarification: I realise now that the confusing appearance of my posts, (apparently not commentable) was determined to their being displayed in full length, rather than in abridged form (read more). When there is no need to click to view the entire post, because it appears in its entirety, the comment block stays hidden.
The next step is finding a way to add a read more block to my posts, which doesn’t seem to be available in the current block editor.

In reply to: How can I display a comment textbox after each post?Thank you, everything is clear. Now I can roll back to Twenty Seventeen, which handles comments more to my taste ??

In reply to: How can I display a comment textbox after each post? Thanks for your suggestions. However I simply have contrary evidence on my site: https://www.scienzaespirito.com.
You can see how the comments are almost hidden – there aren’t any right now ??
Here is a Screenshot
The comments are shown only when clicking on the callout icon, which has an ancor link opening the comment box.
I eventually opted for the Twenty Seventeen Theme, which offers a friendlier display. I am leaving Twenty Twenty on for a few hours longer, hoping you have a chance to look at it.
BTW, I haven’t made any customization other than changing some images.
