  • Hi,
here’s a reply from another user.

In the UAM you can set up various user roles as required and raised in your question.
Also, once you create or amend a given user within the standard WP backend page, at the bottom of that page the UAM implements an area where you can individually assign such user roles to an user.

In short, the answer is that your example given ultimately works with UAM; it does on my page.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi mkb1967,
can you please give a hint what other solution you might use know.
    Thanks, Klaus

    Hi Raul,
the year is no coming to it’s end. Any news on the updated version?
    Thanks, Klaus

    Hi, it’s me again.
After posting my reply I now can solve the issue why the post had an marked but disabled check box [LR] indicator and hence couldn’t be deselected anymore.
When reviewing the post categories I recognized that a specific category also had associated UAM groups. One of these groups was the one which in the post was the disabled group. Now, I deselected this group for the given post category and as a result in the post the former disabled but marked box was unchecked and clear.
Having this in mind, the [LR] seem to be a “locked as a result” indicator.
Hope this helps others to work fine with UMA too.
    Best Regards, Klaus

    Hi,
Unfortunately I can’t help but want to report that I experience the same issue.
I even changed the [L] for the “locked” indicator into [User] but occasionally I also recognize that for a new post a group is unintentionally selected but with a disabled tick box with an [LR] indicator and hence can’t be deselected anymore.
Potentionally this seems to be a bug of the release. Any support on this is highly appreciated.
    Thanks, Klaus

Thanks for your hint with the tooltips on the “about” page – where I wouldn’t have expected them.
So, combining the categories with a simple “,” without spaces (e.g. “cat1,cat3,cat5”) does the job. Nevertheless, a better selection method as suggested is highly appreciated.
    Thanks, Klaus

Thanks, I will have a deeper look into this as so far I couldn’t find such tooltips.

As suggested, please consider to develop a selection list for the widget similar to the event description page where the respective category(ies) created are made visible and can be selected by selection boxes for easy inclusion. This would prevent switching again and again between pages to remember the codes for the categories.

Rational is, that e.g. the widget shall show only certain public events while internal member pages can present events including the internal ones for a given internal organization – or department.
    Thanks, Klaus.

Category filter isn’t included in the widget yet.

    Thanks for your swift reply.
However, the widget already shows a category filter which currently is set to “All”.
Question hence is, can one exclude a specific category by adding it with a minus? Or should one mention all categories to be included? If so, how should one include the categories and/or separate them?
    Thanks in advance, Klaus

Hi, I’m currently experiencing the same font size issue discussed here 8 month ago. I’m not that experienced with the CSS styles and would appreciate if the mentions option could be part of the next release. Any chance there?
