The best way to make changes like this to a theme is to use a child theme, so your tweaks won’t be overwritten when updating the theme.

I heard about that, that’s why I created a child’s theme and in this predicament. Ha.

do not copy the full functions.php or the content of functions.php from the parent theme into the child theme.

Unfortunately, this is my first time creating a child theme and did not know that. I wasn’t sure what files to insert into the child theme folder.

I was told to try solving the issue via FTP but I have no idea what to do when it comes to that. Do you have any suggestions?
