In reply to: Static Header, Scrolling BodyThanks. Yeah. Setting just position: fixed messes up a lot of the other formatting. If that’s the only way to do it then it’s a non-starter.

In reply to: [LightPress Lightbox] Modifying WP jQuery LightboxAny of the image galleries on my site will show it.
As far as whether it will be clean, that’s asking a lot. ?? I’m not a programmer so any code I write is likely going to be far from clean.

In reply to: WP Without a BlogRight. I understand that. So I set up a static landing page and call it Welcome (otherwise the blog page is the main page). In the next field below that you set the name of the page for the main posting (blog) page. Let’s call it Blog. So when you went onto this site you’d land on the Welcome page and Blog would appear on the page menu nav bar.
On this site, https://www.peterstamp.com, Welcome is set up as the landing page and blog is on the nav bar.
On this site, https://www.rf-photography.ca there is no static landing page so the blog is the default landing page and blog doesn’t show up in the nav bar. What I’m wondering is if I set up ‘Welcome’ as the static landing page and I don’t set ‘Blog’ as the main posting page, will some empty page show up on the nav bar or will nothing show up. If an empty page will show up, that’s not what I want. If nothing will show up, that’d be good.
Thanks.

In reply to: [LightPress Lightbox] Modifying WP jQuery LightboxLOL! Thanks. That gets me back to my original question then. What would need to be modified in the CSS to achieve that?
I’ve managed to get the background colour changed. But can’t yet figure out what to change to make the box static.
Something else that’s interesting is that with some images, just the Caption is picked up and with some both the Caption and the Title. I’ve amended the CSS to remove Title and it still shows up in some. Odd.

In reply to: [LightPress Lightbox] Modifying WP jQuery LightboxThanks. Yes, I know it scales for smaller screens. That’s not really the issue. A static size of, say, 800px x 800px would still fit on most smaller screens. The issue is more with optics. The box constantly resizing for portrait and landscape images is a bit annoying. I’d prefer a static box size with the images resizing to fit.

In reply to: Sidebar at bottom of pageHave you changed anything in the background with the sizing/spacing of the sidebar or content/body of the theme? If you make changes to the sizing of elements but don’t change the overall size, the sidebar will drop to the bottom of the page.
Example: Overall theme width (wrapper) 1000px. Main body width 800px. Sidebar width 175px. Various margins/padding total 20px. You’ll be OK with 5px to spare. Change any one or more of those so the total is greater than 1000px and there isn’t enough room in the wrapper and the sidebar will drop to the bottom and appear below the main body.

In reply to: Changing Permalink Structure for NewbiesI use a plugin called Redirection, https://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/. You have to manually input the old permalink and new but then it will automatically redirect. Takes a bit of time to set up but it works.

In reply to: Problem Wrapping Text Around Imagesesmi, I’m using the built in ‘Insert Image’ function.
alcymyth, I had found that earlier and tried it. Didn’t seem to work previously, but it appears to have this time.
Thanks.
