Paying close attention to your lists, I see that the moment the mouse pointer enters the row of a particular layer or marker, the first and only thing that is being highlighted is the delete function! Now why would you do that?
Moreover, when you then navigate to the edit function, the edit function becomes orange/red, but the delete link still shows in red.
Another thing that comes to my attention is that the word “edit” is much shorter than the word “delete” thus having a much smaller area to click.
Adventurous greetings,
CoenOkay, but come to think of it, it will open some more questions for you.
Okay, I’ll explain here what we try to achieve, and not open other tickets or threads, unless you want me to:
What we had before:
– markers in different categories [say: stories, images, hotels, restaurants, and more]
– layers for different countries and continents and world [per category!]
– countries and continents inherit from the world layer for that categoryWe then would enter markers on the world-hotel-layer. When I then want to show only hotels in Belgium, it could mesh up with some hotels showing on the border, or when somebody shifts the map around [you would see al the markers]
Positive:
– only a few layers on which you make the markers
– other layers inherit, and you cannot mix up things when you make new markers, as the inherit layers are not visible in the assign dropdown.Negative:
– not really possible to show only those markers for that countrySo I thought [wronly] that I could solve it by duplicating markers to different layers.
What we have now:
– markers in different categories [say: stories, images, hotels, restaurants, and more]
– layers for different countries and continents and world [per category!]
– world inherits from continents, continents inherit from countries.this works, as I want to show for example only hotels in Belgium.
Positive:
– can show markers per category for a countryNegative:
– a huge layer list, and very difficult to navigate. When making a new marker, the assign dropdown list is also huge: one layer for each category for each country.Question:
It would be nice if you could make something to group the layers. Maybe with some fancy hide and show triangular icons? Any ideas?Adventurous greetings,

In reply to: [Dynamic Widgets] Make exception rule – cancels out after editing post.Installed it. Checked it and it seems to work. Great work! Keep us in the loop if and when there is another update on the Quick edit fix. But for now, we are extremely happy!
Adventurous greetings,
CoenI might add to that:
Our site is going to be full responsive as well, and I make the maps either:
– 300 px wide (markermaps)
– 100% (layers that need more space)It works like it should.
But, for instance, I have a huge map of South America on a full page, when that is presented on a mobile device, it’s borders scale down nicely, but the zoom doesn’t change with it. Is there a way to make the map scale on zoom proportionately?
Adventurous greetings,
CoenGot it figured out. Have to think out of the box, and that helps sometimes.
I’ll keep a tab on things.
Would it not be possible to lock individual layers. Perhaps for certain rols?
I’ve got 18 maps, of that, 10 multi layer maps. 1 multi layer map shows the correct count, 9 maps show inflated counts. These maps have all around 13 to 33 markers, but show a count of between 136 and 138.
btw: little correction to be made: When list all markers, it says:
total x marker
instead of
total x markersthis applies also to the list of markers under the layers. No deal-breaker, just inconsequent.
It’s happened two times in the last past 3 days that we [my wife and I] lost one or two layers. She is convinced she didn’t see any pop-up boxes appearing and definitely did not Okayed something.
Maybe there is a strange thing going on. Having other stuff going on as well, maps that show in 640 width while they are set to 330?
Is there a case of conflicts known with Widget Logic, as we seem to have trouble trying to get certain widgets to show or hide on certain pages.
I got it working manually as well!
I am having the same issues with YMLP. Activated the API on YMLP side [this I didn’t read anywhere] and using the API on the list settings
form sign-up:
– added to the list
– no pop up box with notification of confirmation email
– no confimation mail sent
– no notification mail
– no autorespond emailtickbox on comments, subscribers are NOT added to the list.
I will try and go the manual way, see if I can get things resolved…

Still can’t get it to work, might it be the testing on a local server?
Can I leave the ‘Name’ and ‘Value’ fields empty for YMLP?
Adventurous greetings,
Coenadd marker clustering and display of GPX routes later
Cool. That would suit our site very well.
I would be interested in that too!
