When I didn’t get an answer here, I went direclty to the ShareThis website and posted the question there. They provided the solution, which I’ll detail here, in case anyone else runs into this same problem. Somehow, during one of the upgrades, the sharethis code got changed to have a space where it didn’t belong:

Please remove the space between ‘st_pinterest ” and ” _buttons”

Since this never got fixed, I switched to the Decent Comments plugin instead. Problem solved.

I went ahead and switched to Updraft Plus. It works without a hitch and also has a restore feature that Backwpup never had.

Mine freezes halfway through the job. Is a fix coming, or do we need to switch to a different backup plugin?

I’m having the same problem. Prior to the most recent upgrade, pingbacks/trackbacks weren’t showing in sidebar. Now they are, in spite of the options being set to block them.

I tried hmguanal’s fix, but being a code novice, I created a problem with my entire website. Deleting Navayan restored my website to normal, thankfully. Since I don’t want to spam my subscribers, I’ve switched to Subscribe2 instead.

My likes are back, but now when you share a link on Facebook, it cannot create the usual link box with photo & text, because it finds a hidden link that seems to confuse the facebook software. For example, the link to my latest post SHOULD be: https://www.phoenixhelix.com/2013/02/27/what-is-heartmath/ . But if you cut & paste this into Facebook, you’ll see Facebook identify the link as https://www.phoenixhelix.com/XSPbT/2013/02/27/what-is-heartmath/ . (If you use the Share This button to Facebook, it also cannot find photos or text.) Did you add a code that adds a hidden link to all of our pages in order to get the likes back, or is this happening on the same day merely a coincidence? It’s a problem, because without the photo/text box, the links don’t show up visibly in readers newsfeeds.
