Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: new fata; error, Theme Canvas, GravatarThanks for the help. I was able to get in the back-end (host side) and temporarily deactivate the plugins, allowing me to log in on the wordpress side. This allowed me to deactivate Canvas, and switch to 2010, which is working. Not sure how I got canvas stuck in there, as 2010 looks and feels like I expected, so no idea what happened.
But I’m back online, and all is well.

In reply to: [Related Posts] The links show up in the finished post, but not in the editorAlso, I noticed that it is adding new links to old posts, which already have a ‘related posts’ section. Why is it doing that? How do I make it stop?

In reply to: [Related Posts] The links show up in the finished post, but not in the editorUpdate – in Firefox (but not in Chrome), I can get something…
If I preview the post, and then scroll to the bottom, it has a button (Edit Related Posts) which brings up a pop-up. That allows me to select from a list of related posts, but they are still all mine. I like my posts, but not that much. What am I doing wrong?
Nevermind!!! In broader searching, I found this gem…

At the very bottom was the clue. In the Users section, under Your Profile, make sure you have a first and last name in the boxes. Suddenly, it works.
Hmmm – make that a qualified ‘works’ – it shows on the blog pages (clicked on the ‘visit site’ tab under my blog name in the admin bar (top left corner, second button in), but not when I’m in the dashboard…
That is close enough for me, although not a great solution. I’d prefer it in the admin screens, specifically in the

tab.Greetings:
My site (brand new on www.remarpro.com) was just transferred for me from wordpress.com. I am having the “does not show up” difficulty with the hour-by-hour admin bar – has not yet been seen…The test of entering https://philosiblog.com/xmlrpc.php yields:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.
The test of entering https://philosiblog.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats&noheader&proxy&chart=admin-bar-hours-scale yields a functional hourly image, about the proper size, on a blank window.
I am using 3.7.1 of wordpress, and the Twenty Ten theme. I am using the following widgets
- twitter timeline (jetpack)
- top posts & pages (jetpack)
- facebook like box (jetpack)
and the following plugins
- gravatar widget (is it a widget or a plugin?)
- jetpack
- pushpress
- wpsupercache
I have added some others since then, but the hourly list has never worked (for all three days of my existence on www.remarpro.com).
I am a software engineer, but new to html, so I will be asking some odd questions. For an example, where would I go to get at the php files to search for a blank line? I’m on bluehost.com, if that helps any.
