Thank you so very much for your help, though it is disappointing to hear its somewhat deliberate. They’re either oblivious to it or being deceptive for some reason, which is not great to hear. I’m not really sure how they could not know about the problem, so I’ll discuss it some more with them, and see if they’re willing to do anything about it.

With all due respect, “Out of the scope of this plugin” applies to any new feature request. This is a Discord plugin for WordPress; any Discord related interaction for WordPress is a logical candidate for inclusion. Additionally, the user only posed an example scenario to help convey the use scenario, not a literal situation.

What brings me here is the same thing. I have a community that uses Discord, a site built on WordPress, and I want a user in a group on WordPress automatically assigned to a corresponding role on Discord. This is a handy feature, due to Discords relatively lax permission system and for cutting down on administrative work. There are no current WordPress plugins that address this feature, so I think its also a worthy inclusion for a Discord plugin, and humbly add my request in with the OP’s.
