Per the advice given on the BuddyPress forums, you really need to be figuring out why you’re ending up with duplicated entries in wp_users first.

I still need to update Welcome Pack for WP 3.1. Will do as soon as I can.

I think it is to do with BP Template Pack being out of date. Did swapping the get_sidebar() calls as per Ipstenu’s post work?

Sorry for the late reply. I’m busy working on a new version of the plugin, to come out in a few weeks’ time.

If you’ve messed with either WP or BP core, then the first thing I’m always going to suggest is testing on a clean install

This idea was bumped until BuddyPress 1.3 comes out, for anyone interested.
