You can see the effects on any page with the Events Manager search bar: take the home page as an example. There is still google maps as source loaded although I do not use google maps with events manager. That is why I think that you still use google maps for the search (for the “near by”.
And the new drop down in the search bar, that allows the display in maps has to be removable because it does not work when I do not use google maps.

So once again my original question: 1. How can I remove google maps completely from my website (especially from the pages with events manager search bar)? Because if you want to be compliant to GDBR those sources may only be loaded after the user agreed to it. (And I haven’t found Cookie consent plugins that remove it)
2. How can I remove the “maps”
Display option from the new drop down option in the event-search-bar?

I did this already, but the Website still connects to Maps in its sources . My assumption is, that the search of events manager still uses Google maps. So how can I deactivate the loading of google maps in the background completely?

@nikeo: could you help? The web vitals are very bad for my big portal. I do not know what I can do to improve the CLS…. the fonts are one thing, the flipping breadcrumb, slider, logo… are other issues. Any ideas how to improve the web vitals?

Anyone from the customizr team that could help? I also have big issues with the cumulative layout shift…. any recommendations from customizr would be appreciated. I do not thin that I am the only one who uses those customizr fonts or has such performance issues…???

Hm… I removed dashicons.min.css and now there is only autoptimize/css/autoptimize_f850a0a8bdf2527e73664b44aa774e43.css left on the list….
But why is that CSS not needed? (on Homepage, Single Event page etc…)

Why is autoptimize on that list? And why two files?

One additional question: Pagespeed said, that I should load the css of one file upfront: https://pferdetermine.de/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/includes/css/jquery-ui.min.css
So I copied the content of that file to the “above the fold”section in Autoptimize at the end of the part that criticalpathcssgenerator created. I saved and deleted all caches.
But PageSpeed still says the same… what did I do wrong?

Currently I use BuddyPress and an individual Registration form with specific fields (https://pferdetermine.de/anmelden/). I thought about “leaner” alternatives like users WP – hoping that it is faster. But a migration could be quite hard because I have more that 1000 users and I like the possibility that BuddyPress shows all user-specific events on the users profile page – and I do not know how I could build that with users WP. But that is the only specific functionality I use from BuddyPress.

When I did not use recaptcha I had about 20 spam-user-registrations a day! With recaptca it is 0-5. But the negative impact on performance on pages with a login/registration is huge! Since every event with direct booking is effected, this is very bad.
So do you have ideas how to improve the performance with recaptcha or with an alternative?

Do you have any good alternatives for recaptcha? I have so many spam user-registrations, that I need something like that… Antispam Bee does not help ti get rid of bot-registrations and I need somethin gin line with DSGVO

It is probably the exclusion list, that lets you think that I do not use it:

I have also the issue, that autoptimize breaks my website by no longer displaying the Homepage slider and the “Beitragsimage” for all blogposts. The error is: “Uncaught ReferenceError: _ is not defined

Any ideas how to solve this? I use cusotmizr and autoptimize for years now and this error occurs since I updated on the latest WP-version and updated all plugins to the latest version.

Image optimization is NOT activated. Only when I deactivate the JS-optimization, the error disapears. So there must be another problem… Can anyone help please?
