that would make working with my current website theme a NIGHTMARE…
seems like I will have to go with some other platform as WP won’t be able to do the SIMPLEST thing I have thought…

that page doesn’t really have the answer… as on that page the answer is how to have a STATIC page for the blog, but the page is also managed by WP…

the only area of my website that I will have managed by WP is the BLOG all the rest is coded by hand (html and php includes)…

all I want is rename the index.php file from WP to blog.php (or news.php) and keep everything else just as is, so this way I won’t have to mess all the website and all the back links that were already built for the index of the website…

you can run this SQL QUERY on your MySQL admin panel (such as phpMyAdmin) -> faster and safer – don’t forget to back up your DB in case anything goes wrong -> assuming that your WP tables are called wp_ (if it is something different all you have to do is replace that part on the query for the proper tables name)

DELETE bad_rows.*
from wp_posts as bad_rows
inner join (
select post_title, MIN(id) as min_id
from wp_posts
group by post_title
having count(*) > 1
) as good_rows on good_rows.post_title = bad_rows.post_title
and good_rows.min_id <> bad_rows.id

that doesn’t really solve the problem, it will simply not show that the error is still happening…

There is no such animal in WP as “Category pages:”

have you ever been to the ADVANCED “tab” on the Permalinks page?
