Thanks – I kept looking under ‘settings’ to see something happen. Did not notice the Wizard addition to the panel. I feel like a loser. Thanks for taking your time to address my question. Regards…

I am still experimenting with plugins. I really liked the floating style of the Ultimate Social Media Icons, but switched it around today. Still watching tutorials and learning about plugins, finding I’ve activated similar plugins. Will this learning never end?

I love blogging. I can’t wait until I can zoom around. I have so many articles started that are on hold because I am moving at a snail’s pace learning the interface and re-designing my websites. I just can’t learn fast enough.
    Thanks again!

I knew it was me and not the 2015 theme. It’s always me, but I just couldn’t figure it out. Again, my thanks. Love the 2015 theme’s responsive design and much, much more.

Ooops! Also, I found out the reason my “share” icons didn’t appear at the end of my posts after the “next tag.”
When I went back and reviewed my sharing settings on JetPack (hint, hint), I saw that I had not selected any options other than for the share buttons to show on my Front Page.
As soon as I clicked at the end of posts, pages, etc., they popped in place.
You made me think. It was so simple, yet it didn’t occur to me that I had set it up wrong. I’ve been bugged about it for weeks.
Not that anyone is wanting to share any of my images, but a girl can dream.

    Thanks again …

You are right on the JetPack. Thanks for the link!
    Thanks again!

I understood the social plugins were part of the theme, and so I didn’t install a plugin. In fact, I believe I un-installed the social plugin that I had installed previously with an earlier theme because I thought it was part of the WP 2015 theme. Do you recommend a plugin?

Also, I will post my “main menu” and “social menu” question at the recommended link.

I was simultaneously doing some reading on your forum. Great feedback. It was then as I was reading some of your feedback and relating it to my husband with gales of laughter about the sock puppet and reading your comments about the forum that I realized I was in a developers forum.

Thanks for the very clear and speedy direction. You do a wonderful job.

Thanks to the Word Press community who tried to help me with my blog access dilemma I recorded the highest number of visitors to my Blog ever.

I was befuddled as to why of all times, when my Blog was not linking to the data base, that I had 50 visitors rather than my normal 5-16.

Suddenly it hit me – it was the support community at WP responding to my post for help on the forum. So to everyone who wanted to help me and visited my blog, THANKS and Happy Holidays!

And a special thanks to Dreamhost, the best ever, and MailChimp!

My problem is solved. I installed a new theme with the help of the Dreamhost team. I have yet to figure out why MailChimp is no longer working, but that’s the least of my problems after having my entire blog disappear after my failed attempts to update code on 2011 per my theme check instructions. All is well with the world tonight.

I did the phymyadmin thing and got my front page when I changed my theme, but that is all I got back of my blog. All of the links come up with this error message: (https://www.swimyellowduck.com/blog/)

I don’t know about the family tree of the theme. I just downloaded it when I set up my blog in 2011. It’s a free one, but it works for me.
Dreamhost said I can get back into my blog by phymyadmin.
They send an article/link, which I will read and pray that it gives me some insight.
I have an old copy of my blog on my computer for some reason and I thought about uploading it and maybe overwriting files, which might restore so I can log in; however, it might overwrite things, so I am going to remain patient and seek understanding and deal with phymyadmin.
    Thanks for responding.
I see you figured out the gravatar thing. I read those directions but I did not comprehend.
I’ve made an favicon, but the gravatar doesn’t relate.
I’m watching a Christmas show and then I am going to follow the link and get back into my blog by phymyadmin.
    Thanks – for responding.

    I see I typed a “;” instead of a “,” on line 160, which doesn’t change my error.
I’m going to see if I can load a new theme.

    (@petuniasmiles)

Well, I’m stuck. I can’t get out of the editor because I get this error message after typing in the updates my theme needs: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘(‘ in /home/loscabos/swimyellowduck.com/blog/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/functions.php on line 159

    (159) add_theme_support(‘custom-header’, $args)( $custom_header_support[‘wp-head-callback’],

    (160) $custom_header_support[‘admin-head-callback’], $custom_header_support[‘admin-preview-callback’] );
    add_theme_support(‘custom-background’; $args); }

My 2011 theme check said that on line 159 I was to replace “add_custom_image_header()” with “add_theme_support(‘custom-header’, $args0” AND I DID. The finish coding on line 159 is suppose to read:
    add_theme_support(‘custom-header’, $args) ($custom_header_support[‘wp-head-callback’], $custo

Well, the $custo wasn’t there to begin with. I added it and still got an error. I removed it and still have an error.
I can’t get out of the editor screen.

Where do I go to get help. I can’t even figure out how to make the gravatar. I can get a book when I go to Barnes and Noble, but tonight I can’t get out of my wp 2011 theme editor until I correct my error.

I will search that line of code or something and see if I can find out what’s up.
    Thanks for the response.

I’m drowning in WP. It’s way over my head. I added a blog to one of my websites, and yesterday, I get this email”
New user registration on your site Duck Pond
    Username: joiislu5l
    E-mail: [email protected]

It must be more spam? (I get about 2,000 spam comments a month).
My Website (swimyellowduck.com/blog) is so basic. All you can do is leave comments.
My question is Why would someone want to register as a “user” and for what purpose???? And why would I want a user to register?
Thanks for your help. I added Harrison’s new-user plugin, but I am thinking it’s for a more sophisticated Blog. I don’t think it’s going to solve my problem because I don’t understand what a New User is?
