Version 1.6 of the plugin works fine for me for WordPress 6.4.1 running on PHP 8.1 on Ubuntu 22.04.

Support for collapsing decades was just added in v1.6.

I didn’t actually update the plugin. I just bumped up the “tested up to” tags. Ignore this. I read “plugin status” as “plugin” and wanted to offer clarification.

Could you please elaborate as to what isn’t working? I haven’t noticed any issues with using Collapsed Archives v1.5 with WordPress 5.5.1.

Fixed in v1.5.

The default color is whatever your text color is, since the triangle is a font glyph. It can be set with the .collapsed-archives label selector, e.g., .collapsed-archives label {color: blue;}.

Fixed in v1.3.

There wasn’t a setting, but I added one. I just pushed a v1.2 release that includes it.

You have an inline CSS rule that is causing this: div.widget ul,div.textwidget{display:block;width:auto}. You’re forcing the list of months (a ul) to be displayed.

I’m not sure why the setting doesn’t stick for you (I’ve never seen that before in testing). I’m sorry that I can’t be of much help; I don’t do much WordPress or PHP programming.

They’re supposed to be on the same line. If they’re not on the same line for you, there’s some sort of negative interaction with your site’s theme.
