I installed add server. this is a plugin that is able to add media from a ftp directory. With this i was able to upload the image.
Therefore i ask myself could the problem be my webhosting provider or pherhaps the media upload php page from wordpress or is this provided by the theme.

thanks for the response. It is a jpg file. only 150kb aprox. Now the strange thing sometimes when i try it 1 in 500 times. It will upload.
The latest try i get this error *** The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. ****

is there a way i can send you the file to see if there is anything wrong with it.

i deleted some plugins and installed them fresh. Also reinstalled the siteorigin css editor and removed it again. It seemed that it worked. I hope it stays likes that.

Maybe the plugin siteorigin-css that i installed / deactivated / removed again broke my editor.
