has anything been with this? love this slider, much better than Orbit which i thought was the end of all awesomeness in sliders ?? only thing is, they have this cool pause button that shows also how long the slide goes for. any idea about implementing that?

i could try to hack at the jquery, not so good yet, maybe you can point me in the right direction for a head start?

well 2 thing i see as relevent to wordpress are
1. can there be conditional statement to load iphone content on a page (no template)? so i can embed flash and otherwise video with video player.
2. i thought about HTML, but as far as i can tell the Javascript would all go into the header. so again, this cannot be page specific, unless i make a template for each page i want to have swf content on. seems a bit non-dynamic.

ok, just to keep the thread going till the end, i realized also that twenty elven theme was using a class “access” for the menu instead of nav or menu or something. so this removed and all working.

now to get the spastic nav to play with play with superfish … )

ok, i realized i also missed the # to . in the short custom script.

still acting weird though ??

did you by the way get this to work ok with dropdown (seems when i go to a child menu item the blog thinks ive gone off the menu, but that could just be because the styling is weird now i guess)

i actually cannot get it to work ??
at first nothing was happening so i figured something isnt linked right, and all i found was that the the stlyes had to be changed from IDs to classes (.nav) and yes, that made the style change (bigger nav bar), but the blob is nowhere to be seen!

my only idea is somehow the jquery is not loading. but all the link from the source work.

ya, ive been trying that second tutorial from net tuts, havnt gotten it to work yet. (i suspect the jquery libraries)
ill give a fresh go with a clean 2011 theme and reference the tutorial you used and lets see ??

my end goal is to combine superfish and lavalamp, like the guys at elegant themes aften do.

i cant seem to get this to work on a multisite install, anyone with experience here?
ive added /wp-content/blogs.dir/ as a directory to watch aswell.

also, it doesn’t make the “ai-cache” directory in the domain root.

wow, ya, really amazing, this is gona be a hugely popular plugin!!
and yes, would be awesome to also (maybe this is another feature altogether though) be able to make custom groups that would ya, show at the top next to inactive, active, dropsins for example. Then could make one for admin plugins, analytical plugins, etc.

hm, a i had that, it doesn’t seem to have options for which site to activate on, only network activation, i actually dont see what the point of this plugin is.

Ive found i have to go the site dashboard of the specific site i want to change and do the activation there. not the most convient plugin overview, but found a Plugin Statistics plugin, which sadly doesn’t show which site the plugins are active on.

so is there actually any chance of ‘duplicate content’ when mapping domains?

wondering really how google sees networksite.com/subsite…. when subsite is mapped then it actually disappears from networksite.com…as far as any robot is concerned?

ill check around then on changing it to a subfolder install. But it’s a new site so guess i could just clear the database or make a new one and run install.php again?

hm, ya it did. well of course the typical ‘asking fixes everything’, probably it needed time to propagate soommeething.

Ive outline the steps i took, home the next guy finds it useful ??

Steps followed so far to set up domain mapping with dreamhost
1. set DNS to dreamhost (as usual)
2. add the domain to dreamhost, BUT set as mirrored to networksite.com (me.com in my example) (NOT fully hosted)
3. Probably edit the DNS to match the IP of networksite.com, by clicking DNS under the domain, then setting a new A record with the value of networksite.com’s IP (currently 173.236.216.174, found by opening terminal and running “ping networksite.com”)
4. Probably add subdomain site, but ill try it without this step.
5. go to https://networksite.com/wp-admin/network/site-new.php, add the new site using the domain name without the .com
6. go to https://networksite.com/wp-admin/network/settings.php?page=dm_domains_admin, add the site just created, and make “primary”
7. wait for everything to propagate! (a re-login to the new site seems necessary, if nothing loads after a while try going to newdomain.com/wp-admin)
8. go to https://networksite.com/wp-admin/network/sites.php, hover over the new sites domain, and click edit.
8.1 Change the domain here from subdomain to the full domain.
8.2 Click Settings, scroll down, do the same thing with “Fileupload Url”
