When I installed the main site, Hostgator allowed me to put capital letters to the link eg. hkpel.com\SC !!!

When I created subsites WordPress only allow small letters.

Is this what you call “camel case”?

Do I have to avoid using capital letters in all future WP multisites?

More details on the issue:
– all subsite frontpages redirect to the main site. eg.https://hkpel.com/SC/jd/
– all subsite Admin All Posts, All Pages, All Users, …. redirected to show only those posts and pages on the main site eg. https://hkpel.com/SC/jd/wp-admin/edit.php
– all subsites are visible under admin
– disabling all plugins did not help

I have similar issue on one of my multisites.All subsites admin options cannot be accessed and automatically redirected to the main site.

All subsite frontpages all redirected to the main site.

Please help.

Now all subsites homepages redirects to the main site homepage.

Not sure if it is due to something done by HostGator support team or the deactivation of all plugins.

– HostGator set restrictions (.htaccess) on the multisite for resources overload. I found the following issues.

I am on 3.9 for a while without such problems and I have other multisites working fine on 3.9.

Can I use cPanel to remove the plugins?

I must have done something extremely wrong. I cannot access and subsite admin pages or the Network Admin page as well. So I cannot remove any plugin files.

Hi Ron,

I don’t have a backup of old wp-config.php but I commented out /** define( ‘SUNRISE’, ‘on’ ); */ and removed sunrise.php. The same error shows up on all sites and Network Admin.

Anything I can do to fix it? Thanks a lot.

My blogs have the same issue.

The problem was resolved when I “inactivate” Jetpack Comment.

My WP configuration:
WP 3.5.2
Jetpack: 2.3.1
