Update: I contacted my host and he tried a few things which almost fixed it, but nothing “really” worked. So I just decided to copy my tables into a new database and started over. No big deal.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I decided to install a newer nightly build and a fresh WP database. Then I just copied over all of the tables except for the User table and I got all of my content back like normal. I guess if all else fails, this method seems to work pretty well.

Maybe, I might have to upgrade, but I was dreading having to find all the little hacks I have made to various files. But I guess its better than not being able to login at all.

I emptied my cookies and cache but no luck. I even tried it on another browser and 2 other computers.

Do you know of a simple way to fix this, by any chance?

I ran into the same problem today, so I hope someone can help both of us with this problem. I am working on a music review site where I put the cd image in the excerpt, but for posts without an image (like site news) it repeats the content twice since the excerpt was left blank.

Nevermind, I found a plugin that works for my situation. Thanks anyway to everyone who didnt answer ??

Yes, the image works fine with a regular link (href=”index.php?p=20″) or no link at all. So the image is uploaded and works fine.

I had the same problem but I found out how to get it to work, well the url, not the PHP code as i am just learning PHP.
change this:
index.php?p=2static=1
to this:
index.php?p=aboutme&static=1
I’m sure you are aware, but in the 8-17 nightly, when you edit a page it creates a new page, and doesnt edit the original.
Also, it would be great if once you saved the page, it would be added to the template links (below the text box) for easy editing later.

I wanted to say that I love this plugin, but I was wondering if there was a way to take it one step farther. I want to put the stats on a page that loads first when i login to my wp blog. I figured out how to hack the index.php to get it to redirect to index.php?wp_stats=1 but it keeps the look of the blog and not the admin area. Where is the link to the css file kept for this plugin or how can I get it to integrate into the look of the admin area?
