I basically would like to know which wordpress plugin can accomplish this
Can tablepress achieve this? if not what wordpress plugin can?- This reply was modified 8 years, 1 month ago by PembsWeb.
This helps a great deal. thank you. I think i have the building blocks now to create an effective protected members site
I think i have figured it out.
I can have free content with no levels designated and have links within that page for private pages. if they are registered then will see those pages in the menu and have access to them. if they are not registered then they will be redirected to the membership options page.
so on the log in page, while they cannot registers, they can log in if they have their log in details.
SO after they pay then then can register? and get their username and password?
If Level#0 is locked out for non logged in members then the menu will also not show any menu items? how can the membership options page be only visible to level#0 and upwards? surely there has to be some content that is available to non logged in viewers. How can a user pay for membership if the minimum requirement is level#0? am i right in this?
As i understand it the public who are not logged in should have access to the general content. Even content that is set to Level#0 is still invisible regardless of which theme i choose (yes even the wordpress 2014 and 2015 themes). I tryied entering the GENERAL CONTENT page which is set to Level#0 on a browser i am not logged into and it sends me to the Membership sign up page which is always publicly available. but that page itself is not shown on the menu either.
I want my users to pay to register so how can i show the membership sign up page so they can regsiter
I have 2 browsers open. FF and Chrome. I am developing in the FF browser so therefore i can see all my pages. in Chrome i cannot see any menu items except HOMEPAGE. i have tried to change the site from Free / Open membership to Not Free and checked chrome to see if that made a difference but it did not. Only the homepage is visible in both instances. What am i doing wrong?
I have a page called GENREAL CONTENT which is i have set to Level#0 and a page called PREMIUM CONTENT which is set to Level#1. Neither of which display whilst i am not logged in

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping for postcodes within UKPostcodes are still a problem. Even when i put 1 postcode in and then use that postcode in the shop it doesnt recognise it. What good is that?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping for postcodes within UKI found a plugin that deals with different category prices but unfortunately it doesnt deal with combined categories. This will do for now though. The plug in is called Woocommerce Advanced Shipping.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping for postcodes within UKI am surprised there is no plugin for category based shipping: if you have 1 item from Cat A it costs £10 to ship, then every added item in Cat A is £5.00. for Cat B the shipping could be £20 then every other addition in Cat B is £7.50.
Is there nothing for that at all?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping for postcodes within UKwithin the admin area i see this hint:
‘List 1 code per line’This works when i choose a uk mainland postcode but when i choose a uk highlands post code it doesnt work. to get round it i have had to stick the uk highland town in the country list. Then when the postcode and ‘country’ are inserted it works fine. I don’t think thats how it should be. I don’ think i can use the * after the letter just incase the postcode is outside the uk mainland.
still having problems with the delivery charges for 2 different categories. there doesnt seem to be plugin that deals with that

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Multiple shipping amouts for different categoriesHi, Anybody here to help on this one? i have seen a few tutorials and videos and none so far seem to address this. How can i have 2 categories with each category having its own shipping rate based on the amount of items ordered within that category?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Emailing the order for review before actually orderingHi there, I have not set up a sandbox instead i have gone in live with test products. The paypal test account is a pain to traverse as itsw a new look paypal site whereas the business account uses a different look that i am used to and is therefore easy. I am now wondering whether it is possible to have some products that capture straight away while others are on Authorize? reason for this is because of postage. UK can be posted straight away whereas other countries my have different postage prices depending on where they are.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Emailing the order for review before actually orderingOk, I read it but there is something i do not understand. Once the user goes to paypal and pays for the goods in order to be brought back to the site i am assuming that payment is not taken at all? If so is this because of the payment action on the Paypal checkout settings within the admin area of my website?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Emailing the order for review before actually orderingHi, I managed to get my hands on the Woocommerce Order Status manager. Can someone please help me work out how to make sure that when an order is placed that no money is taken and the order status is always ‘pending’? I am not sure how to make sure this setting is mandatory for my shop. My client’s existing system allows her to confirm delivery with her customers before sending the goods out and she wants to maintain that.
I saw in the checkout settings i can set the PAYMENT ACTION to Authorize. Does that mean that no money will be taken and theat my orders will be pending? The user still gets taken to paypal. How does this work out?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Emailing the order for review before actually orderingHi there. Thanks for this. I will certainly look into that one. Can this plugin work along side the actual order so users can opt to click the request a quote or submit the order if they are happy?
