In reply to: [WP Store Locator] Google API policy broke this plugin… :(The plugin *does* function. That you are unwilling to create billing accounts for your clients is not the plugin author’s responsibility and negatively rating the plugin because of it is incredibly self-centered.
Repurposing the plugin for other map providers is a reasonable suggestion, but not something one can reasonably demand from the author of a free product. It’s a lot of work.

In reply to: [WP Store Locator] Google API policy broke this plugin… :(Google changing their policy is a really, really stupid reason to give a 1-star rating to a plugin developer after benefiting off their work for years. You should really revert this rating.

In reply to: [Post Views Counter] Is it GDPR compliant?Nice! Looks like exactly what we need.
I realize that this is a free plugin and we have no right to set deadlines, but… how soon is soon? GDPR comes into effect May 24th….

In reply to: [Post Views Counter] Is it GDPR compliant?I’m in the same situation, I have to make several websites GDPR ready. The PVC plugin sets a cookie. It has to, to avoid counting the same visitor multiple times.
There doesn’t seem to be an option to disable cookies on request, so as far as I understand GDPR the plugin is not compliant and there is no easy way to make it.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Good but annoying nag screensAs I’ve already mentioned this is a dashboard (backend) onetime notification and this will be permanently removed once you clicked on dismiss button.
As said, I’ve clicked “dismiss” 20 times now. It still shows up on every page load.
I will try updating WpDiscuz and adjust the review if things work out.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Good but annoying nag screensHey guys,
All admins are seeing this notification in the backend on every single page: https://i.stack.imgur.com/ItzOl.png
I’ve clicked on “dismiss” about twenty times now. It comes back all the time.
It is a Multisite install, if that’s relevant.
Awesome, thanks! I’ll take a second look when I get around to it.

In reply to: How to make authors’ posts subject to editor approvalUpdate: I have experimented with RoleScoper and it seemed to suit fine, it just makes WordPress so fat that it exceeds my memory limit of 16 MB. As there is no way to have this limit increased, unfortnuately this is not an option.
