In reply to: [SyntaxHighlighter Evolved Style] SyntaxHighlighter Evolved WordPress pluginI will answer my own question then. Yes this plugin SyntaxHighlighter with Arduino brush (two complementary plugins that work together to offer customisable formatting of Arduino code on WP websites)still works and is only available to use on a WP installation where you have your own domain name and paid hosting. Cannot be used on a “free” WP site. It is easy to instal once you convert the files that you find online from (dot)gz to (dot)zip files. If anyone ever wants to try this plugin out and requires some help, please feel free to contact me via this thread.

In reply to: [Google Drive for Wordpress] how to restore from backup?Hey map,
isn’t it incredible, people make these backup plugins and then they cannot (or cannot be bothered) to explain how to restore the backup if required. It’s like selling a defibrillator to someone buy not telling them how to use it if they have a heart attack.Good luckForum: Your WordPress

In reply to: Review my site: ABD Graphic DesignI just had a look and saw that you had put my modified text up on your site Look I am sorry but there is a mis-spelled word “serivices” on the third line, first word on the left. Sorry about that I should have taken more care, Pedro

In reply to: Review my site: ABD Graphic DesignYou are welcome adbgb. As I said, I just had a quick look at it and corrected a few of the grammatical inconsistencies. See how you go with the copy writer or whoever you decide to get, but if that does not work out contact me through this post and I will see how I go with tidying up all the English text on your site. And yes you have my permission to use the modified text that I drafted if you like, Pedro.

In reply to: Review my site: ABD Graphic DesignLike I said, I am no copy writer just an English speaking person, but what did you think of the quick re-write I drafted https://imgur.com/PIHfUlU

In reply to: Review my site: ABD Graphic DesignI am sorry if it seems like I am offering yet another criticism of the fine job you have done on your site but I feel that the headline text really does lose something in the translation. I have taken the liberty of doing a minor re-write while trying to keep to the original ideas you were trying to get across. I have posted a re-work of your homepage here

It is certainly not perfect as I am certainly not a copy writer but please take a look and see what you think, Pedro.Forum: Your WordPress

In reply to: Review my site: ABD Graphic DesignLook I have only been using WP for two weeks – virgin ?? and I think lorbach’s idea of “showcasing your work and talent” and SanDiegoDave7’s suggestion about relocating the Privacy and TOC were both a really good suggestions and your site looks great, I would even up the size of the home widgets. I think you just use a bit of custom css like,
.home-widgets .widget-wrapper { min-height: (height of largest widget box); }
even if you had to fill out the text in the two smaller boxes to even the content size up. Like I said, I am really new to all this but I think that doing this would as they say in Australia “put the icing on the cake” see https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090318081958AAZDhOP

Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: cPanel folder confusionThanks Jimmy I’m pretty sure that I have got a solid understanding now and thanks again for your explanation.
Pedro.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: cPanel folder confusionJimmy, you explain things very clearly and although I have a reasonably good level of understanding of root drive/folder/file structure in a PC for example, the folder/file structure with this web stuff still confuses me a little. The first domain pedroduino was installed via Hostgator one click instal https://www.hostgator.com/apps/wordpress-hosting
While the second pedrosdigitalsolutions was installed via fantastico and I was supplied this by them –
” An instance of WordPress was installed on https://pedrosdigitalsolutions.com
Full installation path: /home4/pedro147/public_html/pedrosdigitalsolutions.com ” So in both instances I just let the instals direct to the default locations. When I first open cPanel and get this directory selection box https://imgur.com/niJRfAe if I then fully expand the two instances of Responsive theme I get this https://imgur.com/PHyex9N and I know the bottom one is pedroduino becuse I recently created a responsive-child folder for it. I think with your nice clear explanation I am starting to understand the structure – there is a separate instance of WP for each domain and in my case the first pedroduino is in the root folder and the second domain is in a folder within the root folder. Thanks again for taking the time to help me understand this Jimmy
Pedro.
