@layerthemes: The byline is not visible on my post pages. But I dont want it anywhere.

I will never attempt to make a child theme. I am going to request that you add this option in the Options in a later update. Actually, it would be better for me if Author could take that place in stead of Category. Or if I could choose one or the other.

Yes, i.e. Blog > exerpt lenght could spell out to be: Length of the exerpt of a post that is shown on the front page (or on the blog page, if you use a a “home” page).”
Featured Post could spell out: “Here you choose what posts you want to rotate in the Featured Post slider on the front page. Go to Categories to add a new category, you could call it Featured Post or anything you like, then go to any post you want in the slider, and add that category to the post.”
And so on:-)
By the way, I never seen any theme that does what I am suggesting here.

#Doug: It happens about once or twice a month. And I miss or forget about the email warning me that the site is down. So I would like it to get fixed by itself.

I did not know that tip on permalinks, but when the site is down, admin panel is not available.
