Sorry, I have figured out the problem.

The reason why it was not loading was due to a conflict with a page manager plugin called “advanced page manager”.

Thanks for the great plugin!

Ignore this, I didn’t realise the sitemap wasn’t ordered by date and didn’t realise my recent posts were in the sitemap!

I really hope there is a simple solution to this, as it makes the Google search result look really bad!

If anyone knows how to resolve this issue, it would really be appreciated.

Also receiving the error:

“Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again.

The most likely reason is that you are using a WordPress cache plugin. If this is the case, please follow the plugin’s instructions to clear the cache and then try again.”

Has any progress towards a fix for this error been made yet?
