Hello,
I am sorry to hear about this issue. Thank you for the log file, the backup appears to be successful, in terms of the problems you have been having, this can happen if:- One Google Drive directory is shared between multiple sites
- The user rescans this shared directory using the?rescan remote storage?link so that all backups are added to the?UpdraftPlus?>>?Backup / Restore?>>?Existing backups?section regardless of which site they are from. It should be noted that backups rescanned in this way will have no log files.
For the backup that you cannot remove, please could you click the Delete button again next to this set and on the popup box untick also delete from remote storage.
To delete the backups from this section without removing them from Google Drive, this should always be unticked.
Once the other site backups are removed the number of backups visible in Existing backups for that site should be consistent with your schedule.Hello,
Thank you for the update, unfortunately we are unable to view the Google Drive files and we are prohibited from requesting access by forum rules.
If you are able to, please share a redacted version of the backup log file using pastebin.com or other public text sharing platform. Using a text editor you can do a “find and replace” on your domain name or any other sensitive information before sharing.
Hello,
Unfortunately you would need to submit a ticket through the link my colleague provided so that it can correctly link to your account. This will create a ticket directly on our helpdesk. Apologies for the inconvenience.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restore failHello,
Thank you for the update. Since there is a permissions issue and you are unable to change the permissions of the folder in question to prevent the error, I would advise contacting your hosting company or server administrator to investigate this further.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restoration Issue – Please HelpHello,
Thank you for the update. Just to re-iterate, the warning about your character set is quite common and isn’t an error. Both the restore and backup logs indicate they were successful.
You may wish to go to UpdraftPlus >> Advanced Tools >> Wipe settings to remove any unfinished in-progress backups as I noticed there was one in the backup log at the end. You will need to re-connect to any remote storage locations after doing this.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] How to restore one page onlyHello,
As far as I know this would not be possible unfortunately. You could restore the site backup to a different location such as a localhost server so that you have a reference point and then make the same changes to your current version.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restore failHello,
Thank you for the update. I would check the .htaccess file in the root directory of the site, here is the default WordPress one – this can be useful if a plugin has corrupted it, which could potentially explain the redirection loop.
As you have already ruled out a potential theme or plugin conflict and have checked the WordPress debug log for errors, I would suggest asking your hosts to investigate this directly as to why you are unable to access the WordPress admin panel.Hello,
Can you try creating an entirely new admin user as per these instructions rather than modifying an existing one?

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restore failHello,
Would it be possible for you to share the entire restoration log via pastebin.com please?
You may also try leaving the mu-plugins component out of the restoration initially. Instead, download and extract it to your desktop so you have a folder called mu-plugins.
Connect via FileZilla and rename any existing mu-plugins folders in wp-content and then upload the one you have just extracted.Hello,
Yes you could try doing that as an alternative.
Hello,
I would recommend that you try using an incognito tab on your browser to remove the possibility of it being a browser caching issue.
Next, using FTP – temporarily rename the wp-content / plugins directory to plugins-x to see if that restores access.
If not, try the same thing with your wp-content / themes directory. If that does not work return them to their original names.Next, switch on WordPress debugging as per these instructions. Re-visit your site again to write the error to the debug.log file that is generated in the wp-content folder. Please feel free to share the error here.
The reason for these steps is that in order to restore your site without creating a new instance, you will need access to the WordPress admin.Forum: Plugins

Thank you for your message. The line
ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8mb3;
in the database backup just configures the storage engine and default character set for a given database table and shouldn’t cause any issues with restoration.Would it be possible for you to share your restoration log file from the wp-content / updraft folder via pastebin.com please? The log file contents will contain the word “restore”.
Hello,
I am sorry to hear about these issues. Would it be possible for you to share the backup log file via pastebin.com for the last failed backup please? You can find this in the wp-content / updraft folder, it will have a filename similar to log.b6d1dc7fbd03 for example.
You may also wish to try a plugin conflict test – to do this temporarily de-activate all plugins apart from UpdraftPlus and then attempt another backup. You can then re-activate them one by one to determine which one is causing the problem.
