I’s definately recommend Akismet for comment spam. It’s very popular (many downloads), i use it myself. Works well.

Yeh start on wordpress, you can get the domain registered at https://www.GoDaddy.com and follow intructions there on how to get the blog on the domain.

You could set an outline for the blog with some shadow. Align teh logo left. And some pics of laptop on the home page would be cool

Mostly good, i’d say downsize the logo and align it to the left. And change the background to a non patterned style.

I would say the post titles and images need to be downsized too. Using a black font is also easier on the eye.

First things that come to mind are; to tidy the site up, mainly the banners at the top, just 1 logo and a baner to the right is fine. And use a bigger black, arial font to improve readability of posts.

I think the position is OK. I would say that it doesn’t convey the company’s name quickly, unless you already know what the name is.
