In reply to: Links on pages sometimes stop working when I make updatesThank you so much bcworkz! This makes total sense. I did make a couple of changes to the page per my client yesterday and after making the links into buttons, it seems to have fixed it on desktop but the links don’t work on mobile, I guess as it’s all crunched up and not in the proper responsive manner. How did this start happening though? After a WP Bakery update and a clash with another plugin or the template or my existing CSS?
I went ahead and applied this code to the links:
a:link {
color: #CC0035;
z-index: 999999;
position: relative;}
Would that be the best way to go about this? The links do seem to now work on mobile!
Thanks again!

In reply to: Issuu links have stopped working suddenlythanks bcworkz. It is strange though that they worked for a long time then stopped working. Must have been some sort of update in WordPress or a plug-in?

In reply to: Issuu links have stopped working suddenlyI may have solved it myself but it seems strange. I tried adding the straight link (not the embed code) into a video module and it not only worked but all the other links on the page suddenly worked and they are all embed codes. If anyone can help explain this, I’m all ears! I like to understand the reasoning behind something! Thanks.
Paul, I am having the exact same issue with our Rosie template. I have been in lengthy discussion with ECP support on this and so far they have not been able to help. I’m also trying to get help from the makers of Rosie to see if they can do anything. If they do not find a solution, we’ll be forced to cancel ECP and find something else. ??

In reply to: Access denied – File permissions need to be resetFor what it’s worth, the final reply from the host company was this:
“Our scanning results show that your account is clean from malware. We dont have any cron job running on our server. Unfortunately, it is not possible to tell which plugin is causing the issue. You can just update all the plugins and themes to latest version and verify whether permission still gets reset.”
I had upgraded all the plugins. :/

In reply to: Access denied – File permissions need to be resetMy host company came back saying that they ran a test and there was no malware but that it was a plugin causing the issues. I’ve written back to ask for what evidence they have for saying this and which plugin if they know.

In reply to: Access denied – File permissions need to be resetThanks for the info James. I used 3 of those remote scanners and the site came up completely clean and not blacklisted so I don’t think I’ve been hacked, but there is something going on that keeps knocking the index file down to a zero. Any other thoughts?
Fixed
Huh, I figured it out. Simple fix. I just had to set up a widget under Appearances for the mobile menu and set it as primary for mobile. I have no idea at what point this disappeared from my site!

In reply to: Names on Faculty/Staff database not showing up on site pageThanks Steven. I saw that name but unfortunately she no longer works at Mason. I’ve got some other feelers out there to try and figure this out but wondered if anyone could see something obvious that I’m missing.
Thank you Andrew!! What a silly little thing that I didn’t see, but there you go, it worked! Onwards and upwards. Have a great day!!
