In reply to: Site running extremely slowly in IE8 but fine in FirefoxThanks for trying Peter. Maybe it’s just when trying from our network here in the office as it was slow on a colleagues computer too.
I;vejust read that and go through the first points 1-4 fine.
Then when I get to the next points 1-4. Point 1 is c;ick the down arrow next to the text widget. When I click the down arrow nothing then happens, this is where I’m getting stuck. Do you have any idea why this may be at all?
I’ve done that, I drag the ‘text widget’ option over to ‘Homepage Sidebar’ and it stays there, but then there is no option then for me to edit that text widget. Sorry I’m sure my replies are really fristrating as I really don’t know much about WordPress but I do appreciate your help!
No not at all, I click ‘Add new sidebar’ and it pops up with a box to name it, then once I click ok it shows there and I cant select it or naything, the only option is ‘remove’
any thoughts?
Thanks for the speedy response. To really show my lack of knowledge, where do I find my sidebar file?
Under ‘Appearance’ and then ‘Seidebars’ it gives me the option to create new sidebar but thats it, once one has been created the only option there is to ‘remove’

In reply to: Homepage buttons – can;t find them anywhere in the editor? Thanks for the speedy response. Thats right I found them under the ‘homepage sidebar’ and then ‘text’. To test if that was them I then dragged the ‘text’ box back to ‘available widgets’, stupidly I should of dragged this to the ‘inactive widgets’ box as it now means I’ve lost the buttons completely, kicking myself!
Do you know if there is any way to reverse these changes please and get them back?
Sorrty for my ignorance I’m very new to all this!
