I ended up turning off the 3×3 thumbnail icon as that workflow did not work the same in both my themes. The slider plus the ability to click open to the lightbox is sufficient for my app.

Yes. That is the problem. They just put out a new release this week that fixed the problem as far as I can see. There was also an issue with auto-friending at activation that they found, but it appears it also effected Follow. So I have not seen this problem since their update. Thanks

That’s a good question. I had not noticed anything wrong (the adverts features seemed to be working) but I am not able to access my Plugins page in wp-admin. I get “503 service unavailable errors” from my hosting provider (Dreamhost). They have looked into it and found the adverts error (in a log presumably). The only fix is to go in through ftp and disable the adverts plugins which clears the problem and gives me Plugins access again.

However the problem reoccurs. Because the symptom is via Plugins access I don’t have a clear picture exactly when it occurs again. But it’s frequent.
I looked back and Dreamhost’s reports to me and the failure line is different on a previous repot:

Thanks. Sound like the same thing. There are several related problems I had with WSL including the two described, plus the contacting screen needs to pop up in a place that you can get back from if you don’t want to continue. As implemented you can’t get back so I think it needs to be implemented within their In App Browser that has a ‘done’ footer for closing out the session (like when linking through to the source of a blog then back). There’s some sample code on this but too complex for me. Also, I am using BuddyPress which has a modal login popup. I could never get the WSL buttons to show up on this page

I have currently put this on hold in favor of just using their Apppresser Facebook Connect and the underlying website theme Facebook connect for now.That’s working fine. However, WSL has many more features and controls plus the other Networks so I’d like to get this going. I needs to be a lot more straight forward however. I’ll also post any updates here. Hopefully the Apppresser folks can package this cleaner since WSL is so popular.

I found a code snippet <?php do_action( ‘wordpress_social_login’ ); ?> and inserted this in to the buddypress login php file. It worked. So this seems to solve the problem.

No, I’m having the same problem. Fields table with labels shows up on Extras page but there’s no information in them even though entered via form fields on the Details page. Also don’t see a way to have a URL field type. Thoughts?

I am having the same problem. Can’t save field data. I can add fields via manage > extras. The fields are correctly added under manage > Details. I can then fill in the >Details fields with text and press Save.

After Save I get the message “Group Details were Successfully Updated”, however now the Extras fields on the manage > Details page are empty. (Note I did a test and changed the group name and description too before saving. These changes are correct (the standard fields update properly) however the Extras fields are just empty.) When I go to the Extras page the fields are there as expected in a table, the the content of the fields are blank.
Thoughts?

One other question, the settings page has a selector to enable Rich Text Editor for both Extras fields and pages. This works on Pages but on Fields I just get plain text. I don’t see anywhere where the fields I add can be Rich Text. I want to create a field on the Details page that is a URL link but seem to only be able to enter plain text on the Group Extras > Add Listings area. Am I missing something?

I think I have cleaned up the problem. I was able to re-re-re-install 4.4.2 and now bringing up the plugins I seem to be getting pages. This may be fixed!

I am running Events Manager 5.6.2 and having the same problem as above. Group page does not appear if both EM and BP Groups Extras are activated. However, the 5.6.2 code has changed so there’s not a place to add the patch exactly as above.
Is there a new patch for EM 5.6.2?
