Hi there
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve checked both Permalink settings and they are as you advised.
We always use the Post Name permalink structure whenever we set up a website so that should never have changed.I replaced [album id=1 template=extend]
with a new insertion of [ngg src=”albums” ids=”1″ display=”basic_extended_album” thumbnail_crop=”0″]
but no change. Is there some way to get NextGen to reset all the album and gallery links?
TIA

In reply to: [WC Hide Categories On Shop Page] No longer worksStill doesn’t seem to work if Shop is the front page of the website ??
Example: https://coolgeardirect.com/ – Free plus Shipping category should be invisible (slug = “free-plus-shipping”
I don’t really want to have to use a separate /shop/ page…
TIA and thanks for the update ??
P.S. part of the problem might be that is_shop() doesn’t return True if the shop is the Home page…

In reply to: [WP Customer Area] Creating and Assigning Smart GroupsThanks Vincent – strange things:
1. Syntax was save_post_owners($postID, array(groupID), ‘sgrp’)
2. If runs to completion and the Files dashboard shows the correct Smart Group assignment
e.g. Smart Group – FSF
BUT when I edit the file, the Assignment box says Smart Group but nothing is displayed.
Is there a final ‘commit” type step?
TIA

In reply to: [WP Customer Area] Creating and Assigning Smart GroupsHey Vincent, I managed to find existing and create new Smart Groups using my custom user field ‘Code’ – thank you.
But I can’t seem to figure out how to associate my smart group with my newly created file.
By examining the database I can see entries in the postmeta table for cuar_owner_type etc but can’t figure out which of your functions does the hard work.
Hope you can point me in the right direction (again)
Thanks Vincent

In reply to: [WP Customer Area] Files downloading with 0 lengthJust confirming: you used a smart group with a custom fields and you could see the users (this worked for me).
Then you assigned a file to that custom group (this also worked).
Then you tried to download that file as that user i.e. a member of the smart group (this is where mine failed).
Thanks Vincent

In reply to: [WP Customer Area] Files downloading with 0 lengthHey Vincent
One thing I did think of: how does your Smart Groups plugin handle custom user meta data?
We loaded clients in with a “Code” field which represents their company and then created a smart group to match on the code.
That all worked fine but the download returns a zero length file.
When I try a smart group using, say, an email address it seems to work perfectly.
Any suggestions?
TIA

I think both the live and staging websites have the same plugins enabled but I’ll double check before I start the ambitious purge

In reply to: [Renden] Featured Area removeHey Michael
In the Customizer, go to Theme Options > Home page (not “content”) and put a non-breaking space in the “title message” field.
I discovered this by accident: your Featured Areas should disappeaa.
Hope that helps…
