In reply to: [Options for Twenty Twenty-One] Sidebar in Twenty-twenty one themeThank you justadandak – also recently heard from Steven Stern, Forum Moderator, that he is working on sidebar and testing for Twenty-Twenty-One theme, even though this inquiry has been marked as resolved.
You can see his response on this original inquiry about sidebars at Sidebar in Twenty-Twenty One Theme. He gives a couple of links he’s working on and code to use if anyone wants to try it.
Thank You
Pat

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-One] Sidebar in Twenty-twenty one themeThank you, Steven. I’m glad to hear the sidebar is still being considered in the Twenty-Twenty-One theme testing stage, though this inquiry has been marked resolved.
By Front Page, do you also mean Home Page? And, could sidebars possibly be included as an alternative template rather than a plugin that may require more edits and adjustments.
Thank you for your response and updates.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-One] Sidebar in Twenty-twenty one themeAs another thought on my sidebar inquiry above for the new Twenty-Twenty-One theme, can there be an alternative to a plugin with a choice of a template instead — one with and one without sidebar?
Thank you – I appreciate your consideration.

In reply to: [Options for Twenty Twenty-One] Sidebar in Twenty-twenty one themeThank you Oliver. I would appreciate that for reasons I’ve stated in my other forum query. I know it must be outdated with the latest remote technologies we’re using out there. But, most preferable for those of us still using laptops.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-One] Sidebar in Twenty-twenty one themeJames – thank you for your prompt response. I have, I believe, done as you requested using the above link to add a topic in the forum for the developer taking feature requests. (I’m sorry. I can’t find the link to my request in the forum on this.)
I hope it brings some notice for development of options to change or include in this new theme.
I appreciate your help and consideration in this.

Thanks Jarret — I did what you said and added the URL in the caption of the image in my library and it shows correct on the saved image. However, when I save it as a featured image in my post it still comes out like the screen shot I sent you with the full html.
Here’s the screen shot of the updated image correctly showing the captioned URL I made the changes to:
Is there a glitch in the featured image part of the Twenty Twenty theme that hasn’t been worked out. I just switched to it recently.
Thank you
Have a similar issue in using the featured image. How can I make the caption show, i.e., Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com
instead of
The link would be included in Pexels.com instead of written out in html language. I attempted to do that above.
Thank you
Above doesn’t show what I’m seeing so here’s a screenshot:

I’m also getting an error when running a php compatibility check on this plugin. It’s compatible with my 7.2 php but renders the following 2 security warnings:

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Gutenberg editor: stop text flow around an imageI’m not sure if this is the same issue as above but similar to what I wanted to ask about. Is there a way to wrap text tight around an image, similar to Word, in the Media-Text block. There seems to be no paragraph option for text in that block (only title text); where you can insert images within the content of your post and continue writing in paragraph format rather than the image standing alone with Title text only.
I’m self-hosted and fairly new to Gutenberg and wanted to inquire if this is something developers have included or are continuing to work on it.
Thank you

I have just received the same notice above from Google Search Console on mobile usability issues and clicked on the above link for further information but get an error page.
My Jetpack settings for my mobile theme have been enabled and seems to look okay on my Android mobile phone. I have a self-hosted site via Hostgator, my theme is Twenty-Eleven and not too long ago I fixed plugins per a notice from WordPress to update for stability issues. So, now I’m not sure what I need to do to fix these 2 mobile usability issues: Clickable elements are very close together and The content is wider than the screen.
I would appreciate your assistance in helping me address these issues so I may notify Google that they have been fixed.
Thank you

Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [RSS Importer] RSS Importer plugin compatibility issue with PH 7Haven’t heard back yet. Is there a compatibility issue (got an error and a warning) with this plugin for PHP 7. I haven’t checked compatibility with higher PHP’s like PHP 7.2 and it’s being recommended to update our WordPress sites. Mine is self-hosted. I wanted to get feedback before I continue on with the PHP update.
Thank you
