Sorry I needed to add type of theme and site address- catch kathmandu and site is https://gatewayhotel.voltahotels.com again the problem is; I have successfully replaced featured slider images by creating posts and using set featured image but old images still show up when i visit the website

yes i did but the solution is not there. i got close clicking on media then library or add new (image) then edit- from there you are expected to click on slider option which I cannot find from my system even-though that is what is in the guide I read.
