something happened meanwhile. Good news and bad news.
The south african company Tribulant software, that developed Slideshow Gallery, gave me a hint. Adding some code to the theme CSS solved the problem with not-completely-loading pics. It’s running here: https://probe1.studiomatrick.com/architecture_01/. And now the bad news: the issue with the slide show not starting again after clicking isn’t a bug. “We’ll possibly develop a setting for this in the future to turn this On/Off.” It’s a pity, I love this plugin!
I spent a lot of time testing and modifying the Nivo slider jQuery plugin (https://nivo.dev7studios.com/) and was finally able to get exactly what I was looking for. But at the end I found a bad surprise. When clicking too fast, the active area becomes blue! It’s a transparent png, and fast clicking means selecting. Ugly! You’ll see it here: https://probe1.studiomatrick.com/interiors_01/ (red borders are temporary)
I’m a newbie and am not able to get a mouse-sensible area without using an image.
Any suggestion?
In the next days I’ll get back testing Satellite again (https://c-pr.es/projects/satellite/). Seems to be a good plugin.
